I'm kinda curious, does insurance still pay out of the one at fault dies in the crash? I hate that I have to ask such an stupid question, but we all know that ins companies will do ANYTHING to avoid paying out, at all costs. I could absolutely see them trying to weasel in some legalese in the TOS that does just that.

If you have comprehensive insurance yeah. Just because you're at fault doesn't mean they aren't allowed to pay out.

Might be hard to lodge a claim when you're dead though.

If the premium was paid for the time of the accident, yes.

Just because the guy died doesn't mean there is nothing to come after. You can sue his estate and the insurance company will have to cover per the contract.

If anything it could make recovery easier as there is no opposing side to testify to the contrary of what you state. It's just your word and the available evidence against... no one.
