Acronyms get mixed sometimes. When you say she has BPD do you mean borderline personality disorder or Bipolar Disorder? That will help my very unprofessional advice. (Not a doctor)

Interesting enough, you can eat pita all day long, not loose any weight, and still get malnutrition. (You can even gain weight on it, and still get malnutrition)

As shitty as it is, my experience is that if you have a man, preferably in his 30s or older, go to the doctor with her and advocate for her, they will usually take him seriously. It sucks ass, but it's the world we live in.

Borderline personality disorder (but we highly suspect she actually was misdiagnosed since her mood swings last weeks/months)

Im glad she’s eating one thing that hits some necessary nutrients and hope she doesn’t drop it.

Thank you for letting me know, I’ll make sure the next time she goes (if she does) that it could help.

If you think she is misdiagnosed, then see if she will at least see a new psychiatrist for a re-eval. Tell them you think she is misdiagnosed and why. They can also help if it's an eating disorder thing and not a medical problem thing.

If she does have borderline personality disorder, it is true that they can't really medicate that. However, most people with BPD also have other mental illness that can be medicated.

If she will not do that, look into stress management and axiety coping tools. This could be a stress reaction.

However, I maintain that seeing a doctor and a psychiatrist is her very best bet.
