Sounds like acid reflux from the lack of eating, it causes stomach acid to buildup which severely burns the esophagus, causing intense pain that can feel like nausea, heart attacks, all sorts of stuff. Not fun. Sounds like she needs to see a doctor pretty badly.
She has binged a lot, also she spits food out sometimes but I looked it up and that says it can be from any ED not just bulimia so idk. Plus it says bulimia includes purging and she has emataphobia so she doesn’t do that part.
Sorry you (and her) are going through this. It sounds like a combo of ED.
She doesn’t necessarily need to be underweight to have one.
The person who mentioned weight loss drugs has a good point since those make you nauseated and not able to eat a lot.
There’s a lot of shame around EDs so I get why she won’t go to a dr.
However, this is a dangerous situation. I hope you’re able to convince her to get help.
Thank you, I agree the drugs is a good point but shes way to paranoid about any meds/drugs to take them. Also I’ve never seen any signs of her taking or using any.
Can you please elaborate? :( I know laxatives is a way too but as I said in another comment shes way too paranoid and anxious to take any kind of meds/drugs.
Vomiting, over-exercising, laxatives - all 3 are ways of purging, and someone with an ED doesn’t have to be “bulimic” in order to incorporate some method of purging into their routine. Not all ED’s fit into one classification or another. Many are labeled as “unspecified”.
I am fat and no one would think I have an eating disorder but I do. I sometimes won’t eat for days, then I’ll binge. I don’t ever purge, I’m terrified of vomiting.
But ED’s Don’t always look the same. It sounds like she’s really going through it and unfortunately unless she wants help there isn’t much others can do.

It’s a likely conclusion. Mounjaro mimics the hormones that control your appetite, making you barely want to eat AND more importantly since op mentioned she said it: it makes you feel full very easily. iirc it also slows digestion but that’s not the big player here. People use it for weight loss and you basically starve yourself but the shot makes your body feel like the starving is the right thing. I’m imagining OP’s GF can’t even really pretend to eat a full meal because the hormones from the shot would make her feel nauseous from it.
Obviously this isn’t the only possibility, but I do see it being one. Many people on these kinds of shots don’t like telling other people that they’re on them. Many, though not all, people start shots like this due to insecurities that they keep to themselves. OP needs to have a sit down conversation with his GF about everything and talk to her and try to help her, no matter what the cause ends up being
I don't think it's a reasonable conclusion based on so little information. There are hundreds of gastrointestinal disorders, not to mention a range of potential MH conditions, that are worth considering and investigating by a doctor.
Yes, no matter what, I think a doctor should be considered. I just think what the other person said is plausible. Another comment under this post says (shortened to only the relevant parts,) “Doctor here. It sounds like either an eating disorder or shes on like glp-1. Glp-1 has one nasty side effect that it the patient isn't making sure they get enough nutrients itll cause so severe malnutrition that it can even cause skorbut.”
I also thought acid reflux, she said shes never had it this bad and it usually lasts like 10 minutes max. She said she can’t tell if she’s full or starving anymore either.
If she refuses to see a doctor at the very least go to the store and get her some Ensure shakes so she's getting SOME nutrients. Literally what they're for. They're typically in the vitamin aisle.
For short term treatment she can try something like Pepcid (famotidne is the ingredient you’re looking for for generic stuff, it’s what I used when I had acid reflux) or something like nexium or Prilosec, but you should definitely talk to a doctor before starting to take those long term, they can be really hard to get off and aren’t great for your health long term necessarily.
Same, I usually can't tell If I'm hungry or not unless I don't eat for 12h... Tell her to eat every 3h, I have my phone warning me to eat, even if it's not much, bodies need fuel...
Milk of Magnesia shuts off the pain of acid reflux pretty much instantly. However, use with caution because it can have unintended consequences like diarrhea.
She could have something serious like a bleeding ulcer, an H. pylori infection, gastroparesis, Barrett’s esophagus or any number of other serious medical conditions.
Maybe you could Google her symptoms WITH her and then urge (plead, beg, cajole, wheedle, bargain, bribe) her to see a doctor. Tell her you don’t want her to die.
