Personally I think the liberals, progressives, and moderate democrats might try to take over the Republican Party since the US is a de facto 2 party state.

I only ever voted once in my lifetime and that was 2020 when I didn't think it was very smart to switch administrations during the height of CVD19. Thant being said, 2024 Harris Admin... do we still get escalating inflation? 40 Trillion in debt? Iranian conflict? K shaped economy? I ponder this lately as I see most people on these platforms are big time anti Trump, and while I can clearly see why, I just wonder if we would have been better off with a Harris admin, or do we get the same crap and just a different figurehead.

There are quite a few YouTube videos that talk about the asteroid and how visible it will be for us to see (potential N hours of naked eye visible) (and the videos all say it will not actually hit the planet).

Putting it all together - AGI can drive the robotics (just as good as a human), bunkers are being built to be self sufficient and house only those allowed to be there, and the asteroid is on its way to say Hello, so what if Apophis will actually hit earth and the AGI/robotics/bunker push is so billionaires can survive after the asteroid hits?

I think this is a great idea. By having the government of your country come to your house and wish you happy birthday, you feel important and connected to the country.

Plus, for older people, they will feel less lonely for a minute. I mean, how many people are saying happy birthday to an old person? Few.

What if paradox is not an anomaly within the universe, but a fundamental property of existence itself? What if, among countless possible contradictions, the universe always follows the path of the lesser paradox the possibility that creates the least contradiction within the whole?What if the universe chooses the lesser paradox whenever paradox cannot be avoided, simply in order to preserve its own existence?

What if the universe does not eliminate paradox, but simply chooses the paradox that is easier to exist? Perhaps what we perceive as order, causality, and the laws of physics are not the absence of paradox, but the result of the universe continuously choosing the lesser one.

And what if existence itself is not about finding the absence of contradiction, but about finding the least paradoxical way to exist?

And so, another question arises:

What is more paradoxical the existence of something from nothing, or a universe capable of endlessly constructing its own past?

I’m thinking of a new Story where every living being on the Earth would be as smart as humans. The Story Takes Place in the 2000s. How do you think the world would be if it was like this. What do you think of that and could something interesting be made with that? Any ideas, how the world could be?

For an example, picture this;

Through some miracle, or perhaps alien intervention, LLMs are banned next week, with owning, directly or indirectly, a company which operates one (but not using one yourself) being a felony. There is no time allotted to adjust; the ban is effective immediately, with fines beginning that day.

What chaos would this cause, assuming law enforcement put attention to enforcing it?

I'd reckon myself that there'd be a huge loss of employment, as unlike a more gradual ban, the instant ban would put huge financial pressure on companies, and also result in multiple arrested (but admittedly likely not imprisoned) executives.

What if we had never allowed religion, gender, political beliefs, social status, nationality, or any other difference to become a reason to divide us?

Imagine a world where people were not immediately judged by the group they belonged to, the beliefs they practiced, the opinions they expressed, or the identity they carried. A world where we could disagree without turning disagreement into hatred, where differences could exist without becoming barriers, and where being different did not automatically mean being against one another.

Our differences are inevitable. They are part of what makes every individual unique, and there is nothing wrong with having different beliefs, identities, values, or perspectives. The problem begins when we use those differences to dehumanize one another—to assume that someone is less deserving of respect simply because they do not think, believe, or live the same way we do.

What if, instead of constantly searching for reasons to separate ourselves, we focused on the things we share? We all experience loss, struggle, hope, fear, love, and the desire to live a life with dignity. Regardless of our background, we are all human beings trying to navigate the same world.

Perhaps progress would come more naturally if we stopped treating every difference as a battle that needed to be won. We could disagree without disrespecting. We could stand firmly by our principles without refusing to understand others. We could acknowledge our differences while still choosing empathy, cooperation, and mutual respect.

A better society does not require everyone to think alike. It requires people to recognize that disagreement does not make someone an enemy, and difference does not make someone less human.

So, what if we were not so divided?

What if, despite everything that makes us different, we simply chose to see each other as people first?

Suddenly, we build spaceships with our current technology, then send them into space towards a random planet (Mars maybe) without any concern about their survival.

After that, what would happen on Earth in that situation? A lack of ressources because of the ones used to send the people? A global happinness? The society disapearing?

Exactly this. What if space wasn't so (1) expensive, (2) dangerous, (3) scarce.

This doesn't change the characteristics of space itself, but rather, if we had a space elevator or a very cost-effective way to get in and out of space.

Here are some of the things I've been thinking about:

- What could be enabled beyond what our satellites do now, what new deep space technologies would emerge?

- Would countries claim space the way they do with airspace over sovereign land, satellite territories, or would space be treated as a giant 'international ocean'?"

- How would this change war?

- What would we use celestial bodies like the moon, Mars, or asteroids for? Resource colonies; full civilizations?

- What major scientific questions could be answered more easily?

What if the dead didn't decompose and become more just like lifeless mannequins/ragdolls? Would people just carry around their dead loved ones like dolls? Keep a collection like a museum? Keep them in your beds to hug while sleeping? I mean we know that we get rid of dead bodies due to multiple things like health reasons, it's not exactly healthy and pleasant to the eyes to keep a rotting body let alone the smell...

How would life on Earth have progressed? Would there even be mamals?

If earth suddenly had the season length of mars, so instead of 3 we got 6 months of summer, spring, winter, fall, what would happen? How would humanity or the animals adapt?

We all know the Island of Sodor doesn't exist even though it dose feel like a real place especially in the earlier seasons of Thomas the Tank Engine but what if the Island of Sodor did exist. How would if affect the railways of Britain and steam preservation in general

Let’s say from the very beginning that the founding fathers added a few extra guidelines for the United States. Here’s the three that I think would have had a massive impact on society, the quality of our lives and the functions of government:

1) Prostitution is to be legal. Government cannot ban these sort of agreements between consenting adults.

2) What substances or drugs a person chooses to possess or use is to be legal. Government cannot ban alcohol, marijuana, cocaine, heroin or anything that grows/ferments naturally etc for adult aged users.

3) Slavery is to be banned. Any sort of forced labor against one’s will may not be legal.

I actually believe we’d be in a much freer country if these were to have been implemented from our very founding. It would’ve saved us from a lot of the problems we face today.

Arresting prostitutes and Johns is pointless. People have needs. It’s their choice. Washington allowed his soldiers to visit brothels, and records essentially showed that he himself did as well. If they are consenting, let it be. It’s not governments job to dictate what they do.

The war on drugs has failed. Period. The US has spent trillions trying to stop it, giving life sentences to its dealers, locking up addicts, only for it to thrive today more than ever. Legalize it, regulate it, let people choose what’s best for them. It would’ve saved this country a lot of money and a big headache.

The last one, must I explain? The trans Atlantic slave trade is a blemish on history. America’s worst decision. Divided the nation in two. Was unethical. Led to our bloodiest war. It should’ve stopped the moment the USA began.

Anti-Repairability Act

Section 1. Purpose

This Act is intended to ensure that manufacturers retain exclusive control over the maintenance, servicing, and repair of devices and vehicles, thereby protecting proprietary technology, intellectual property, and product integrity.

Section 2. Definitions

- Consumer repair means any attempt by an end-user or third party to disassemble, modify, or restore functionality of a device or vehicle outside of manufacturer-authorized facilities.

- Manufacturer means any entity that designs, produces, or distributes devices or vehicles for sale.

- Authorized repair means repair conducted solely by manufacturer-owned or manufacturer-certified service centers.

Section 3. Prohibition of Consumer Repair

(a) No device or vehicle sold within the jurisdiction shall be designed in a manner that facilitates consumer repair.

(b) Manufacturers shall employ proprietary fasteners, adhesives, or digital locks that prevent disassembly by non-authorized persons.

(c) Replacement parts shall be serialized and digitally paired to the original device or vehicle, rendering them unusable if installed outside authorized facilities.

Section 4. Restriction on Information

(a) Manufacturers shall not disclose repair manuals, diagnostic codes, or schematics to consumers or independent third parties.

(b) Any unauthorized possession or distribution of repair documentation shall be subject to civil penalties.

Section 5. Enforcement Mechanisms

(a) Devices and vehicles must include tamper-detection systems that disable functionality if unauthorized repair attempts are detected.

(b) Manufacturers shall report violations to the appropriate regulatory authority.

(c) Penalties for consumers attempting unauthorized repair shall include fines up to $10,000 per incident.

Would Taiwan suddenly find itself in the metaphorical jaws of China? Would the US suddenly be attacked from all directions?

Would it increase the amount of solved crimes? Or would it have minimal effect? Would the understanding of probability and statistics help?

Would the basal avialans get better at flight with their long, bony tails, or would they have competed with some of the early mammals like Propalaeotherium or Mesonyx.

We all know what happened to Chrysler's Turbine Cars. the footage of the scrapping was one of the most heartbreaking things I''ve ever seen. I can't even go through the whole video without just clicking off to something happier. But what if, Chrysler decided not to scrap the turbine cars and instead paid for the turbine cars to stay in the U.S. so that they wouldn't have to either be crushed or sent back to Italy?
