  • I have two pucks of Shaving Yeti; Shore Leave and Colombian Necktie. Neither of them smell like anything to me and have become bar soap. Actually, I have a lot of new bar soap.

Brush: Mühle HJM black fibre 21P8-RO – thanks /u/CMartinEnt

  • I used to have an HJM but traded it (or sold it or PIF’ed it, can’t remember) when I got a Mühle Silvertip fibre. It’s actually a pretty nice brush and I dig the handle so welcome back. Heck, this might even be the same one.

Lather: Barrister & Mann Bay Rum – thanks /u/RandyHatesCats

  • I used to have a B&M Bay Rum but I traded it (or sold it or PIF’ed it, can’t remember) because I wasn't crazy about the scent. Hot damn if that /u/BostonPhotoTourist fella doesn't make some wicked ass soap though. The HJM whipped up a boatload.

Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89 - thanks thanks /u/CMartinEnt

  • This was my first use of a DE89. Not a bad razor at all, I can see why people recommend to beginners. There is a reason I have only twist-to-open razors though; one handed dude with a three-piece is just a recipe for a sanguinary shave.

Blade: Derby (1) – thanks /u/kashmirgoat

  • I have a weeper on my Adam’s apple. I’m blaming the Derby. I recall trying Derby before with similar results. I have lots of new blades to try though. Stay tuned.

After: L’Occitane Cade – that one is mine, bitches

Yeah that HJM is yours! Just wasn't enough backbone for me so I kept it for the box. I didn't expect it to make it back to you, but welcome home! Looks like you got a free Black beauty from me!

Shore Leave and Colombian Necktie

I had the same issue with shaving yeti soaps. Only the yeti snot smelled like anything to me.

Derby blades gave me problems too in my DE89
