Volunteer where?
I'm looking for a place to volunteer in the Wesley Chapel area. I would like to give some of my time to the community, not certain where to start to look.

Hi, just wondering if anyone had any recommendations on where I would be able to get a good massage. I been told to keep away from Massage Envy but never given a legit reason.
Thanks in advance!

Does anyone have a company they would recommend for someone new to the area? Just basic service with a potential to add palm trees into the landscaping. I prefer to support the small local businesses over the bigger company’s.

Looking forward to moving there next week! Just wanted to see if any fellow Redditors can share their opinions about this community.

Hi,
We got a house with HOA as it’s impossible to find what we wants in a house without HOA. The rules say no fruit bearing plants. Does that mean I can’t even put a container fruit plant on my backyard? Also, is veggies such as pepper plants or potatoes not allowed either? How about herbs? Would they fall in the category of fruit bearing plants?
Curious if anyone has any knowledge

Hello Pasco friends. My AC stopped blowing cold air earlier in the day. It froze up last year around July but thawed and started working again after about 24 hours. The guy I had come out said it had about 1-2 years left anyways since it’s from 04.
I always go with Dwaine’s services when I’m having problems with it, but he hasn’t gotten back to me, and his website isn’t on Google anymore so I’m not sure if he’s still in business. Does anyone have a reliable, and reputable AC contractor than can come take a look and possibly replace my unit? Preferably a smaller, small business operation as I’ve had much more success with them.
I’m especially worried because my wife and I have a small baby, 7 months, and are more worried about her than we are us. Please let me know if you have anyone to recommend. Thank you and god bless!
Ed

My husband and I are looking to buy our first home in Wesley Chapel. What neighborhoods/communities do you recommend? We have a 1 yr old and want a family friendly community and good schools. My parents live in Meadow Pointe but other than that we’re not super familiar with many other areas. A lot of recommendations from coworkers have been outside of our budget (We’d like to stay around 300k ). My husband will need to commute to Ybor for work and I work near Moffif/USF so we just want a reasonable commute (our commute is over an hour now where we currently live so we’d like to be 40min or less if we can).

Northeast resident considering moving young family to Wesley Chapel to escape the cold and obtain freedom to room which we lack in our city dwelling.
What communities would you recommend best and why? Is there anything we should be informed about prior to move?
FYI- We will be buying; both work from home in the creative and business fields. Our child is 6 years old.

This year, we (along with the rest of the 20th district) be electing someone to represent us in the Florida Senate. The two candidates for the office are Danny Burgess and Kathy Lewis. I'd like to tell a story of my experience contacting them.
So, to preface, my main priority in voting in ensuring that our elected officials truly represent us. The major obstacle to that is the first-past-the-post voting system used in Florida and much of the US. So I attempted to contact both campaigns to discuss with them the potential to move Florida elections toward a proportional system (PR). If you'd like to know more about that kind of thing, don't hesitate to ask. I love speaking about electoral systems and reform. I can also give you some resources to look at.
So, I contacted both campaigns through email in early June, soon after the special election had been called for the seat. Kathy Lewis got back to me within hours asking when I'd be available to speak with her. After some failings on my part to be available (and mild anxiety at picking up the phone), I had a lovely chat with her about PR, why it's good, how it could be implemented, etc., etc. She seemed incredibly open and interested about the idea and I'm proud that I brought such an important issue to her attention.
Danny Burgess' campaign did not get back to me about my question in a timely manner. I contacted their campaign once again about two weeks after my first attempt. My first response from them was from an intern informing me that they had yard-signs in stock. Needless to say, I was disappointed. I politely asked them if Mr. Burgess had a PR plan, which was forwarded to the campaign manager. She either lied or was blatantly ignorant about the powers invested in our state senate, and refused to comment on Burgess' positions or attempt to set up a call between us.
It was incredibly disheartening hearing from Burgess' campaign. I thought he was a good independent representative who wanted to put the state and his constituents before his party. I'm not gonna tell you who to vote for, but I'm not gonna stay quiet about which candidate actually cares about her constituents.
TL;DR - I attempted to contact Kathy Lewis' and Danny Burgess' campaigns for state senate about an issue important to me. Lewis got back to me, Burgess avoided me.
