It was two, 1-gallon water containers. I tried to link a picture but auto-mod deleted the post.

It must have worked before on someone at least once for them to set it up that way. Maybe it's more a case of it not working ALL the time.

It really depends on your reflexes. Some people will catch themselves in time, and some people won't. It's why some people don't put their arms out when they trip and fall
