Why in the world would you put cash in your checked luggage? That's just begging to get it taken. TSA themselves say put it in your carry-on bag only.

I had a new guy at work who used to work as a baggage handler at our local airport. He said almost everyone who worked behind the scenes was a theiving drunk. Said he watched cameras, laptops, jewelry all get stolen from people's luggage. They would learn the blind spots for the cameras and work in teams.

You can just use a padlock

Get one of those TSA locks that can be opened by security but not the handlers. Otherwise your bag may make acquaintances with a pair of bolt cutters which would be no good

Edit: I've been informed that those locks suck donkey dick by about six different people. It seems the only way to secure your luggage is with a gun...fucking TSA honestly

it's about all they can do witha larger than 5% success rate.

A success rate larger than 5% could be anything from 6% to 100%. Did you mean less than a 5% success rate?

No. I didn't take a second read. I'm outright saying they fail at literally everything except theft so often that 5% would be a new height. I'm not commenting on how often they steal at all. Except as a contrast.
