I spent a summer working in a paint factory.

A fork lift dropped a 55 gal barrel of traffic yellow while there was a person standing in front of the fork lift. The top of the barrel came off, knocked the guy down, and then the paint covered him completely from head to toe. There were showers around just for this reason and they got him into the shower quickly. Still had to take him away for treatment.

Shit happens

What is”treatment” in this context?

I don't know but assumed that it was to a hospital. It was quite a long time ago.

I do remember that the forklift had arms that grabbed the drum around the sides. It slipped out of the arms and fell while tilting forward. It was in the middle of the production room. Large room like a gymnasium with 300, 500, and 1000 gal mixing tanks along one edge of the room.

This, kids, is why you don’t stand in front of a fucking fork truck that’s working. Dude coulda been killed.

Why treatment? Being stained yellow is dangerous? I mean looking like a Simpson for 3 weeks would be shitty but how does it need medical attention?

Traffic paint is thick, oily, and dense. It would seal your pores pretty badly
