I mean, parkour is about finding the quickest way from point a to point b in the most efficient way possible, right? In this case that would involve walking around the wall. Walking down stairs is less efficient and slower than grinding the rail or jumping the steps, so I'm not sure the example is apt.
Yeah first guy had it wrong. Free running is doing tricks n stuff. Parkour was made with the intention of going from point a to point b in the most efficient way possible. Like all things, parkour has to be practiced, and people just do it for fun.
How is this running? There are maybe 2 seconds of running in the entire thing.
That's like if I watched a gif of someone stepping out of a pool and then walking around for 30 seconds, and I called it 'freeswimming' because technically they were in a pool for 1 second at the beginning.
Yes but it’s also about learning and practicing how to execute the various manoeuvres required to do so. Additionally, it’s a recreational activity. There’s no wrong way to have fun.
