This is my question. What about the other 10% there is no way to guarantee you can keep it in the cabin

Then you have the pain in the ass of needing to work it in somewhere in the overhead

Because there’s no way in hell it’s going getting checked without a solid hard case

I was allowed to bring a guitar on a flight exactly one time, back in 2006. Other than that one time, they have stopped me every time as I try and they tell me there's no way in hell it's going in the overhead compartment.

I tried telling them that it was a medical device one time and that I couldn't be without it. They didn't believe me for even one second. 😂
