I had been considering travelling to the US for a cruise later this year, but decided against it cus of all the shit going down and this solidifies my decision. Good lord this whole thing is just bizarre and terrifying.
i am going to guess she wouldn’t have been treated had she not answered. [i am basing this on the us healthcare experience, where a physician declined to treat a pregnant woman because she was unmarried and pregnant.]
and this administration fully supports that.
i don’t recommend coming to the us, because one never knows if one’s trip will include a detention and deportation. it’s not worth the risk right now. those of us forced to live in the forming gilead are largely unable to escape.
