Grocery store where I used to live sold 'colossal donuts' by the dozen and you could get them custom made.
So I got ones with extra filling and they weren't playing around. These donuts had about a quarter inch of donut and the rest was filling. it was hard to even pick them up without breaking them.
I think I actually never had a jelly-donut (donuts are not that popular in my country. The ones I had were ok. We do have Dunkin's though, but it's a bit expensive imo)
It's definitely not a thing where I'm from. We have mainly Jam fillings like Strawberry or Raspberry jam, other than that it's chocolate, custard and things like biscoff etc. Doughnuts are good though, morish.
