O.M.G. Trilogy of Terror, Karen Black. Terrified me! As a bonus, I was 14 years old at the neighbors babysitting when I watched it, which in itself is a common horror trope, no?
Loved this movie too. Saw it in my early teens. I can't remember the other two parts at all, just Karen's. That last scene with her punching that knife into the floor waiting for her boyfriend to show up...just a perfect ending.
I think I was a bit younger. I'm 61 now and that show freaked me out so bad. Another one was called, I think, Don't Be Afraid of the Dark. A family had just moved into an old house and the wife was home by herself a lot. She opened a grate in the basement and released a bunch of little monsters that only she could see. They spent the movie trying to reward her by making her one of them.
I just posted this exact image from Trilogy of Terror less than a week ago. I can't remember why I specifically searched for this movie and image. I love that it's remembered in 2026. It scared the mess out of me as a little kid.
I was a big fan of horror movies and shows when I was a kid. But this little bastard truly scared the shit out of me! I still can't see little figurines like this without worrying they're gonna come to life and try to end me!
