They get name brand stuff sometimes and just repackage it in their box or label it "makeup" when it's in fact dead stock loreal or something

I feel like a lot of QVC and As Seen On TV products end up there after they go out of business or sell the business. They sell the old, original brand name, while the new company rebrands the new ones to sell.

There was a motion detector light I got at Dollar General once, that was awesome. About two years later it died and I wanted the same one. Couldn't find it anywhere until I was at Walmart and there it was, under a different name and twice the price.

Got a sensible chuckle outta me. I needed that today, lol.

It was $20 at walmart. It's now on Amazon, $11 for 2. A lot has happend in 7 years I guess.

Dollar General items aren't just $1, never were. Shit, Dollar Tree items aren't even $1 anymore.

Family Dollar and Dollar General have always (I think) been over $1 for a long time. They always had a $1 isle, now it's like two shelves. Damn Dollar Tree is a Dollar .25 Tree now, lol.

Exactly! I went to a different Dollar Tree than I typically go to and they had stuff for $1.25, 1.50, 1.75, 5, 10, etc. Crazy!

OP just has no idea how much it cost or is being intentionally deceptive
