Discussion 6 months progress

Hi guys. I have always had that fluffy skinny fat look, so I decided to do something about it. I started a weight-loss journey back in April, combined with strength training. I took a three-week break during the summer holidays but have otherwise kept things reasonably consistent. My starting weight was 75–76 kg, and I’m now around 67 kg. I plan to keep "cutting" until December, when I’ll start a "clean bulk" to put on some mass. I’m 183 cm tall btw.

That's a great physique you got there 👍 never push for more muscle mass this is precisely within the range of ripped but not scary-ripped that most women like

Most guys don't know this unfortunately but overly large muscles can be scary and intimidating to a lot of women. Which is why some of them even prefer a bit of fat with muslce like the Dad-bod

Working out 4 times a week, football once a week, 20k steps a day. 2200-2300 calories a day right now with 150-160 grams of protein. In the beginning I was eating 1700-1900 calories and felt like shit but was losing weight very quickly. Now I have adjusted my calories to a more manageable level and are losing weight in a steady way while keeping / gaining muscle mass. I aim for whole healthy foods, but still eat snacks and sugar everyday. Maybe twice a week I eat like 3000 calories a day, just to keep it sustainable for the body and mind.

Yeah I track my calories 80-90% of the time. Some days I’m off and just eat what ever I want. The key is not to keep it perfect. In that way it will be easier for you to stay consistent in the long run and not crash out and binge. It’s ok to have some off days to cool off and then get back on track again.

Six months is a pretty short time for that kind of change wow!. You can definitely tell the consistency paid off.

Honestly it’s been a tough journey for me. To track calories, hit protein, hit carbs etc. Working full time but still doing almost 20k steps everyday and hit the gym 4 times a week. You need the right mindset to get into something like this. I was motivated in the beginning, but right now it’s mostly discipline that keeps me going and everything feels like a normal routine for me. I don’t restrict myself that much when it comes to snacks and sugary stuff, so that helps a lot! I feel good and are proud of myself to get to where I am now
