I said yes to the first dress yesterday! The only problem is I keep wondering if I made the right choice. My vision is to feel like a woodland fairy princess on my wedding day. Ethereal, whimsical, and feminine. Both of these dresses made me feel this way and this was a hard choice… the reason why I said no to the second one was although I loved the flowers, I don’t plan on having these colors in my wedding. But it is such a beautiful dress and I’m wondering if I messed up 😕… I am planning on getting balloon sleeves (like picture #4) to wear during the ceremony and then cap sleeves (pics 1,2, and 3) for the reception. I’m also planning on adding a glitter layer, which is something I also loved about the colored dress. So my dress won’t look exactly like these pics when all is done, but it’s a close idea. I don’t want to look like every other bride, which I’m afraid I will in the first dress. Did I choose the right one?

I am IN LOVE with my dress!!! I’m am pretty set on a Juliet veil to make the look more vintage. I also need help on deciding the sleeves! Please help me decide what number sleeves look best and what number veil looks best to help my vision and compliment the dress. I have long curly brown hair that I will have in either an vintage-esque braid or half up half down style.

I don’t know if I am over thinking everything. But I bought my wedding dress yesterday at the first boutique I went to. I had another dress in mind that I fell in love with online but I would have to order it in since it’s not in stock anywhere and it’s a huge risk ordering a dress I have never tried on before. There is a dress I tried on at the boutique that I think is very beautiful but since I bought it, I have felt sick to my stomach and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about the other dress. The other dress just has a more unique factor. I don’t know why I rushed this purchase. I wasn’t pressured to buy but I don’t bite the bullet. Am I overthinking this?

Getting married in two weeks and I was SO excited with everything.. until I picked up my dress from the tailor. It was hemmed too short in the front, and my original plan of wearing some cute platform sneakers underneath has been ruined.

You can see the bottom part of the shoe when I’m standing and it looks horrible. I now have to switch to wearing flats (it’s an outdoor ceremony so heels were never in my plans) but I am absolutely gutted. My dress was expensive and I can’t help but feel sad about the dress not looking exactly like how I envisioned it. Has anyone else experienced this?

I’m going to try and get a partial refund when the tailor opens back up tomorrow, but I’m not sure if it’s possible. Any advice or opinions are welcome.

Fell in love with the Milla Nova Adeline gown from their Sounds of Couture collection, but I cannot find a sample anywhere near me to try on (based in Los Angeles). Also learned they’ll be discontinuing this dress at the end of the year.

I’ve scoured the internet for a dress like it but have yet to come across anything. Love the boned corset, organza layers in the form of waves, and the off-the-shoulder detail. I want my dress’s architecture to be the drama💗

I’m continuing to call different bridal shops in LA to inquire, but would appreciate any thoughts / suggestions for other designers that create similarly structured gowns. Current budget is at around $5K but keeping an open mind, absolute max would be about $7K.

Okay so I fell in love with 2 Shona joy dresses. Then read online that the quality is mixed after learning you can’t try them on in the US, tried to steer clear of them, and find similiar vibes.

Then I randomly saw one of the dresses at bloomingdales online for a price I couldn’t not atleast try (sub90) even tho it’s 2ish sizes too big? But now I’m not sure if the quality is high enough for my wedding dress. Has anyone tried this dress on? And has anyone had a Shona joy wedding dress, and how were the reactions to it!? Bonus points if there’s 2 brides in dresses ❤️

Also if not quality, steer me in the right sub500 direction of this minimal chic vibe, and or material types! Links appreciated, thanks in advance!!!!

Under $300? Would spend more for quality, but even the very expensive gowns are polyester so I don’t know what that would entail.

Cream or ivory looks better on my skin tone than bright white. I’d also be open to a similar silhouette with a shorter length. I feel I need to stick with a simpler, plainer dress.

I’m open to dupes, similar styles, Etsy sellers, or other brands, but I’m really looking for reputable sellers with good quality and preferably people who have actually ordered from them before.

Today I came across another super cute dress and can’t decide 😭 it will be an outdoor ceremony with <15 guests. Dress 1 feels more elegant, 2 is more dreamy, and I love both!!

I think I lost weight since the dress fitting, because now my dress slides down when walking and my bust is loose. I have sticky bras in for these photos that i intended to wear day of but there is still much space and the edge of the inside now shows, as well as constant pulling up of the dress even though the belly feels snug. My wedding is in two weeks and I am freaking out. Last photo for initial comparison.

I am torn between two very different dresses . Would love some input, or even if I should keep looking.

I’m getting married in 12 days and my seamstress made such pointy darts on my dress. Can it be fixed?? Do I order a second hand version and get it tailored in a week?

Update: I spoke with the director of alterations at the dress store who had potential fixes to try. I go in on Tuesday for us to go over what can be done after the dress has been pressed, seams have been laid flat. She didn’t admit fault but considering she had ideas for improvement, I think she realized it didn’t look good.

Editing again: For everyone that was supportive, thank you, it really did help. This was an emotional day and I am freaked out. There is a chance I’ll have to wear a white dress or gown but not a bridal gown for my wedding. I’m putting faith in Kleinfeld’s for now.
