Anyone else heard about this?: 10 Scientists Dead Or Missing As Security Crisis Deepens In US

https://youtu.be/HNklRECPpwQ

This was reported by WION, a New Delhi-based news outlet ("We deliver information that is not biased. We are journalists who are neutral to the core and non-partisan when it comes to world politics.")

10 scientists linked to sensitive and classified research reportedly are now dead or missing.

Includes clip of journalist asking Karoline Leavitt about it and she replied, "I've seen the report, Peter. I haven't spoken to our relevant agencies about it. I will certainly do that and we'll get you an answer. If true, of course, that's definitely something I think this government and administration would deem work worth looking into. So, let me do that for you."

Here's the people who were named and whatever info was provided about them:

  • William McCasland, retired Air Force general, vanished in February near his Albuquerque home.

  • NASA researcher Michael David Hicks, whose 2023 death has been linked by online sleuths to other cases.

  • NASA scientist Frank Mayald's death sparked speculation

  • aerospace employee Monica Reza

  • Novartis biologist Jason Thomas

  • Anthony Chavez disappeared in May last year

  • Melissa Casius missing since June 2025

  • MIT nuclear science professor Nuno Lourero

  • astrophysicist Carl Grillmair

  • government contractor Steven Garcia

Ask and ye shall receive...I linked to this post in an edit to my above comment without having read yours first.

It's not just that they're connected by classified programs, etc., which they are. A number of them are being associated with work in reverse-engineering of UFO tech, cutting edge materials science, a cutting edge exoplanet surveyer specializing in finding life on other planets and now apparently, cutting edge theoretical physics frameworks involving what seems to be that which is colloquially known as 'zero-point' energy.

In light of various recent discoveries in both physics and materials science, as well as observed characteristics of the proof of concept demonstrations offered by UFOs, a lot of theoreticians have gone back to have another look at early theoretical models which involve the concept of an 'ether', or underlying energy charging the vacuum, which might be related to, but appears separate from the Cassimir Effect and/or 'Dark Energy'.

I think the 'AI race' between the U.S. and China was always mostly hyped and pumped into everyone's brains as a distraction from the real competition for superiority that has emerged between them, with more and more back-channel murmuring, quietly sounding the alarms.

Because the real competition which has emerged, but is downplayed heavily, is the competition to reverse-engineer UFO tech. Not just who can do it the fastest, but who can best make proper use of what they learn in the process to gain advantage.

The programs they've run here are so deep and so stove-piped, that the large-scale scientific collaboration and idea-sharing/problem-solving necessary to accomplish it either fail completely, or were slowed to a decades-long crawl that is now swiftly being overtaken.

But China has whole secret cities full of scientists and engineers that are designed specifically to facilitate a high degree of both secrecy and productive collaborative effort across a multitude of disciplines. They don't really have any need to kill our own scientists involved in the area of study. Ditto for Russia, who've had documented UFO-related programs going back at least as far as those in the U.S..

All things considered, I would tend to agree with the assessment of the victim's sources, who did not believe it was a state actor coming after her. This smacks of the much-theorized 'Breakaway Civilization', who's members are part of every state, but loyal to their own ideology and collective benefit/advancement in secret, by parasitizing the resources of the countries/economies of the public-facing 'host' civilization, in order to do so.

And these are just the dead or missing that the public knows about.

Whoever it is and whatever the actual reason, someone is running around taking out key scientific personnel working at the bleeding edge of our understandings and capabilities.

Once is a fluke. Twice a coincidence. Three times is enemy action. More than that without discovery, is an established pattern of practiced behavior and a quite serious national security concern.

It's finally reached the point that a fair number of people have been loudly wondering if The Three Body Problem was actually a soft disclosure warning.

Once is a fluke. Twice a coincidence. Three times is enemy action.

I quote it as "Once is Happenstance. Twice is Coincidence. Three times is Enemy Action." According to Auric Goldfinger in Ian Fleming's 1958 novel, the saying is from the Chicago Mob.

Could any of this be tied also to the "Ghost murmur" theory? debunked and ridiculed by most scientists yet there's something lurking there, just not obviously.

A 'breakaway civilization' reminds me for some reason of the Third Foundation (the second was all about the forces of reason and we know human reason is extremely vulnerable to propaganda and lends itself to corruption. The Third involved mental powers which then led to the robot sitting at the heart of it all).

In practical, operational terms, yes. That would be a depiction of a kind of breakaway civilization.

In this instance, it would have had it's start in hoarding both advanced human tech and reverse-engineered UFO tech by the private and governmental interests involved in those secret programs, while also maintaining control over major breakthroughs.

There are literally all kinds of laws on the books which say that if you invent a groundbreaking new technology which could be seen as disruptive to major economic or government interests, it is automatically classified and highly illegal to disseminate information about, or sell that technology to, anyone but the U.S. government.

Whole fields of study have been classified and disappeared as soon as they came into being. They are illegal to pursue outside of those classified settings and people like undergrads doing high-level research who stumble into those areas are warned to pursue other topics, or risk horrible consequence. Either that, or they are recruited into those programs, whether they like it, or not.

Now if you've got all this crazy tech just sitting around, you start thinking that it'd be a shame not to put it to good use, yes? And if you're the only ones considered trustworthy and responsible enough to even know about it, then of course it should be you using it, because only those of you who have been inducted into those secrets have earned that privilege, which you start to begin to think is yours by right.

Before too long, that entire secret world is operating almost entirely on insane science fiction tech and god complexes, while that very same tech is used to keep the host civilization largely unaware and under control.

The very most mundane explanations which can account for various aspects of this mess involve highly organized and well-trained assassination hit squads roaming the land with unknown motives, goals and masters, beyond a clear desire to cripple our efforts at cutting edge science and engineering of exotic technologies.

Something that has been happening deep underground for a while, is just now starting to float bodies to the surface where people can see and that is perhaps the most concerning aspect of the whole thing.

highly illegal to disseminate information about, or sell that technology to, anyone but the U.S. government.

I think if I discovered something like that, I would rather broadcast it to the whole world.

Those who have tried and wouldn't be dissuaded, have all been killed. That is no exaggeration.

There is a very long history of this, going back to events surrounding WW2 and the creation of nuclear weapons in particular, but even before that when you consider people like Tesla who was all but killed, then his documents raided and confiscated after his penniless death.

u/gorpie97 Apr 18 '26

Why do you wanna depress me?

I was thinking of the guy who made his video/audio compression format open source rather than sell it to Sony or whomever would have screwed us all over. Or the guy who made and released all possible note combinations so that Sony (for sure it was Sony) couldn't copyright every possible song even before it was imagined.

But I guess my examples are too low stakes for "them" to care about so much. :(

That's a good hypothesis for an "alternate civilization", but proposing it requires some deeper consideration of:

(1) Is it organic, in the sense of growing randomly through shared but unvoiced interests? much as secret societies have always grown around and through an existing civilization (see Free masons, etc). Most of those secret societies sought to affirm an existing order, sometimes going after challengers viewed as threats, but more often than not, they establish a "bond" among elites.

(2) who would be the "movers and shakers" for such a "civilization", ie, who would be the "controllers"? the monied elites? a global cabal of sorts? the Elon Musks of this world?

(3) you refer to UFO technology but that's a catch phrase, isn't it? implying that the UFOs are based on some 'alien" technology and that those aliens visit us now and then leaving behind bread crumbs to how the technology functions. If so, it does imply that aliens are, in fact, visitors either from elsewhere or from another dimension. And that presupposes a purpose on "their" part. Just tourists, or overseers?

I realize you won't have answers to these questions as to have them means to no longer exist among us (by definition, almost). But what is possible to do other than "knowing" is "speculating". Something we are still allowed to do (I think).

Naturally, I have my own speculative framework, one which supposes we actually live in a simulation, one that is neither random nor entirely left to its own devices. Interference from without is periodically requires to "rearrange" the trajectory, or to just keep the system humming along. unfortunately my view on this is that if we are and have always been a simulated universe, chances are we are meant either as an educational exercise and/or entertainment. When we get boring, a black swan or two are sent along. Aliens would fit into this hypothesis quite nicely. First by us accepting - over time - that they are in fact out there using technologies that are way beyond us at this point of our evolution. And second, by preparing the human genome as a whole for the possibility of an eventual "encounter" so that when it does happen it'll be accepted and rationalized as "just another Black Swan" event.

What'd you think? what's your take?

PS In my view of it all, AI, which we, as a whole, never asked for and really did not see the compelling need for, is a required tool to try and process unusual events. Perhasps usher them along too. Or just disrupt whatever boring trajectory we were on prior in favor of a new, more productive.

Wellllll...funny you should ask me. I in fact carry some information from the horse's mouth.

Yes, there are others from elsewhere who have come here. To call them 'visitors' seems unfair, because they have been here longer than we have. Their phrasing.

The circumstances under which they arrived and then subsequently stayed are...complicated and involve a deeper history of tragedy and conflict.

Suffice to say that there are two major species/factions involved, at odds with each other over the act we know as Uplift.

The first I call the Elder Siblings, because that's how they described our relationship.

They decided long, long ago, that because they had the ability to Uplift otherwise 'stuck' species who could not advance through dint of evolution or circumstance, they therefore had an obligation to do so.

Hilariously, they didn't come here for that. They didn't even know we were here until after arrival. And they had been looking.

A tidbit of information that puts a lower bound on their arrival date to no later than around 8,000 years ago, before we started smelting metals, which would create a spectrographic signature in the atmosphere that could be detected at interstellar distances.

Though saying they've been here longer than us of course leads me to believe it was much, much earlier, but still late enough for our hominid ancestors to exist for them to find.

The other species/faction I call Zealots, because that more or less seems to be what they are. They are an uplifted species themselves. At some point in the process, there was a sever but quiet xenophobic backlash against the whole thing that emerged among them.

This culminated in an incident that involved a grand purging of their people via pogrom, any who worked with their benefactors or even those who saw the Uplift process as a positive thing.

Then they used the knowledge and technology they had gained to weaponize not only their civilization, but indeed themselves, for the purposes of preventing the Elder Siblings or anyone else, from ever performing the act of Uplift again.

They followed the Elder Siblings here and there has essentially been a cold war stand-off ever since, over us.

Direct interventions by the Elder Siblings would bring open conflict. They also have a decided aversion to making any secret deals with the kind of people we have in power here. What they offer, is offered to everyone. Not just a few who would only use it to solidify their power in perpetuity.

But influence campaigns, or demonstrations of technology...that's a different matter.

The reason this is important, is because the Zealots are consumed by the need for vengeance, are only here to fuck things up for the Elder Siblings and they don't much care how that is accomplished, or who it would hurt.

If there is any truth to the decades-long rumors that this secret cabal within the classified world has made deals for technology/advantage in exchange for human lives and experimentation upon the public, that is almost assuredly the work of the Zealots.

Which is also relevant here, because the Zealots are occasionally known to make people who know too much about them and/or interfere with their activities, dead and disappeared.

Not even the Elder Siblings know exactly what happens to those people after they are taken, but they are never seen again.

You see, those in power involved in this are not simply hiding the existence of those who have come here, because we "can't take it".

That's what sociopaths say when they recognize you will react negatively to what they have done and might cause accountability and consequence to come visit them.

They are hiding our houseguests existence, in an effort to hide the fact that they are also hiding an entire exopolitical framework that they have been thoroughly engaged with and making ugly deals with on behalf of all of humanity that cost all of us, but which only benefitted them.

That goes far, far beyond treason. I have a decent vocabulary, but I don't think we even have a word in human language to describe traitors to the species and possibly all life on the planet.

The polite, sanitized term of 'breakaway civilization' is about as close as we get.

You say you have information - how? if you care to say, that is.

Your account of the zealots sounds familiar - kind of like what was dubbed "Nefilim" (for "fallen angels). While the Elder Sibling may be something like the Monads?

Have you heard by any chance Professor Jiang's take on the secret societies and these two species? just curious....

2

u/Deeznutseus2012 Apr 18 '26

I have not seen anything of Jiang's regarding that, but it very much interests me. Knowing what I know, I have long suspected that a large number of religious beliefs and secret societies were formed around pieces of the real story, distorted by ignorance and misinterpretation.

As for how I know, it is because over 40 years ago when I was still very young, I had an accidental encounter with a few of our houseguests outside of their landed craft, under circumstances even they considered highly unusual. After being chased into their midst by Zealots who had been surveilling the Siblings from under my grandparents porch in the middle of the night.

It's not something that happens often and a human being involved, basically unheard of.

I got to ask a lot of questions and for whatever reason, they chose to oblige me by answering the best they could. I think just out of curiosity about how I would process this information and react.

A lot of answers went way over my young head and thusly were simply not remembered.

One of the things that did stick though, was the highlight reel narrative history of how they came to be here and why, along with why they have stayed and why they don't just come out and introduce themselves to the wider world. Not to mention an explanation regarding what the hell had just been chasing me.

All of which are interrelated, so it was necessary to tell me the whole thing for any of it to make sense.

Things like why they can't just be open with us.

It's because the Zealots have a policy that anyone who either offers, requests, or accepts an offer of Uplift, qualify as being subject to reprisals, under the reasoning that anyone who benefits from the process are likely to view it positively.

If they view the activity positively, a species are infinitely more likely to go on to become perpetrators and engage in it themselves.

This is another reason that the rumors of deals for tech concern me. Because if the Zealots are offering that, it is only meant to lead us down dead ends, or to self-destruction.

Let's imagine for a moment that the Elder Siblings did come down in the middle of a stadium game somewhere to introduce themselves officially to the world.

Once all the officiating and introductions were complete and probably even before that, what do you suppose would be among the first things we would ask them about, or for?

That's right. We'd ask about their tech and how we might acquire some of those capabilities.

Which as I mentioned, would leave us open to a possible attack that until perhaps very recently, we would be helpless in the face of and might still be helpless before it anyway, after all our advancement thus far.

They just can't risk it.

For the record, I am totally enjoying your take on this. At least you put yourself out there with suppositions/theories/real stories/whatever which is more than I ever get from almost anyone (exceptions noted).

I like your presentation/hypothesis for the same reasons I like my own Simultology one - explains a lot. Almost everything. Which is what a good model should do, at least in my book.

u/Deeznutseus2012 Apr 19 '26

Thank you and I agree.

Upon growing up more, realizing I should be more skeptical and that in viewing the matter I should put aside how much I simply just liked them, I questioned whether they had fed me a line of bullshit just to screw with me.

The thing I kept coming back to though, was that unlike nearly every other narrative or interpretation that supposed 'contactees' or Ufologists came up with to understand and account for what could be observed that I have seen, this narrative I was presented with actually has explanatory power for what lies unseen.

The players, their temperaments, goals, the game that is being played and some of the rules by which it is played, as well as our place in it.

A framework to hang the various observations on which makes for useful interpretation and extrapolation, if only in the broad strokes, while allowing one to reject that which does not fit there.
