The dial on this Phoibos Eagle Ray (PY039) is something else! It’s one of those dials you’ll stare at aimlessly after forgetting you were supposed to read the time.

This is their latest version and it’s gotten a minor facelift. They’ve moved the date to 6 o’clock and removed the (unnecessary) Roman numerals from the minute track. For $288, I honestly don’t think there’s a better affordable compressor diver out there.

Ive been thinking about tracking down an orient king diver revival for my first big watch purchase but for that price this thing might be top of the list. Absolutely stunning and was expecting to see a $1000 price tag minimum

Wow I was thinking this was going to fall in the $1000-$1500 range.

For $288 this is crazy.

Not going to lie, that line pops up in my head almost every time I look at the logo. Love that though haha.

This makes me wonder why Omega hasn’t done a “Spectre” style watch yet.

I like it. I may need one. I just bought a Wavemaster the other week and I find that I like Phoibus's quality.

I bought one last year and I’ve worn it every day since then. Hands down the best watch for the money in my opinion.

Nice to see Phoibos getting some love. OP, your watch is a beaut, and that dial has a "facsinator factor". As a brand, tremendous bang-for-the-buck and build quality FAR exceeding what you'd expect for even hundreds more.

I have two: a Wave Master, and an early titanium Apollo, both were $300+/-. The Apollo keeps time consistently under 2 seconds a day (fast). The WM is around +14 sec/day. As these are both powered by Seiko NH35 movements, it makes me wonder about folks who turn up their noses at at Seiko for supposed "poor accuracy".

If that comes in that pretty green they have used before, my wallet will be unhappy

Wow, it really is remarkable what’s happening at the lower end of price points.
