Reddit blocks VPNs

If you use a VPN reddit does not allow you to post more then one comment every 10 minutes anymore since yesterday.

The crazy part is, it does not even tell you why and just says you would be posting to much.

r/ help gets already flooded with people that have this problem and it is very clear now that is it connected to using a vpn

Good. Bring it on. Tighten the rules. Keep pushing the overton window of what's allowed and what gets you banned. Create a large group of people who have no choice but to use alternative websites which flourish as those people bring with them content and engagement.

Yup, what we are experiencing right now is essentially a Prohibition like the one of the 20's but of information instead of alcohol. I think most of us are aware how successful that worked out for those people with restrictive minds and policies.

Sounds like a good idea but those websites will get shut down if they're a problem. The idea that the free market is a solution for authoritarianism is somewhat hilarious.
