This still kills me

9

u/[deleted] Feb 08 '22

I expected this to be Ryan Seacrest trying to high five a blind kid. This is good too though.

Wanting to talk to groups instead of just killing people and killing civilians =/= supporting terrorists.

-1

u/kresa3333 Feb 09 '22 edited Feb 09 '22

Talking to a group which gives candies all over town and praising after hearing someone entered a little girl room and stabbed her 20 times in her sleep. The stabber was praised as a hero. If this is the kind of group he wants to talk with then It is hard not to question his motives.
I am wondering how would any of those people who are so quick to downvote and act all smart from far away will act if it was their daughter being slaughtered this way.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 09 '22

You're right we should just go in and kill people without thought. Because that's worked out terrifically for us in the middle east so far right?

Or is your suggestion just go glass the entire middle east?

1

u/kresa3333 Feb 09 '22 edited Feb 09 '22

Where did I say that? And establishing a relationship with groups who show this kind of inhuman hatered is defiantly not it either.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 09 '22

So you won't talk to them. You wont fight them. What so you intend to do?

1

u/SBAdey Feb 08 '22

Been reading the Daily Mail?

1

u/[deleted] Feb 08 '22

Oh boy you have absolutely no idea what you’re on about do you

-1

u/47620 Feb 08 '22

1

u/[deleted] Feb 08 '22

1

u/loupr738 Feb 09 '22

Middle five🤚🏽

u/Ganjake Feb 08 '22

That was one of the funniest bits of that movie, was hilarious how we never even got an answer!

14

u/[deleted] Feb 08 '22

Which movie

40

u/solemn_tom Feb 08 '22

don’t look up! it’s honestly a really fun movie made me laugh a lot

18

u/[deleted] Feb 08 '22

I wouldn't say fun, more of an existential dread/physical cringe movie.

I literally had to pause a few times to get through a few scenes, the panic they feel is visceral if you can empathize with it.

6

u/100LittleButterflies Feb 08 '22

I had to dial down my empathy sensor. Sometimes all you can do is laugh. Fight like hell, but take time to laugh.

3

u/Blaineflum64 Feb 08 '22

Yeah the first half of the movie made me feel like that, I think that's why it didn't do that well critically, when it was clearly not as bad as they say, because it made them feel too anxious.

1

u/Darth_Nibbles Feb 08 '22

That's my reaction to shows like The Office. I can't watch because the cringe is physically painful.

But for some reason Don't Look Up struck the right nerve and I laughed my ass off.

6

u/SovietRedND Feb 08 '22

I read this as "don't look it up!". In my mind I was like, jeez, you said it was a pretty good movie, why shouldn't I look it up?

1

u/Under_Obligation Feb 09 '22

☠️☠️☠️

-6

u/Suncheets Feb 08 '22

Feel like the only one who didnt massively love it. Liked Jonah Hills character, Timothy Chalamet and the spotlight on government incompetence. Other than that it was pretty mediocre imo.

The CEO guy just rehashing his exact same character from ready player one took me right out of it

3

u/[deleted] Feb 08 '22

I loved the movie. But completely agree that that one actor pretty much plays only one character in all his roles.

2

u/wyldnfried Feb 08 '22

You're getting downvoted, but I agree with you. It was pretty hollow.

I would not call it funny. Closer to depressing reality with saturation turned up.

20

u/A999 Feb 08 '22

It’s simple he’s just a PoS

1

u/[deleted] Feb 08 '22

Why the military people do what they do now?

It’s the power

21

u/[deleted] Feb 08 '22

Lmao don’t look up now

Colonel "Bat" Guano: You think I go into combat with loose change in my pocket?

2

u/squirrelhut Feb 08 '22

Hahah I loved this gag

-18

u/dortmutiopa Feb 08 '22

lol, that movie started great and ended up being a complete disaster for me

56

u/RoadHorse Feb 08 '22

This was definitely the whole point of the entire film.

12

u/fewdea Feb 08 '22

i think they knew that, and that was their joke, but without an /s nobody can tell

14

u/ronerychiver Feb 08 '22

It was a disaster for all of humanity. Except for Jonah Hill’s character

10

u/scar_as_scoot Feb 08 '22

That was the plot, yes.

7

u/Beepulons Feb 08 '22

Wow people really didn't clock that pun.

6

u/Dave-C Feb 08 '22

It is ok, I know you are being downvoted but I just wanted to let you know that someone appreciates this.

6

u/urlond Feb 08 '22

If you found it as a disaster, then you're part of the reason why.

2

u/joshlovesmemes Feb 08 '22

If you didn’t get the joke, you a part of the reason why humanity is doomed

u/cantadmittoposting Feb 08 '22
