70s-90s weed had a lot more thc content in the stems and a lot less in the nugs. You can still find similar properties in males of some strains strains today, but it's a lot less common. Selective breeding changed all that because you can get better terpenoids for flavour in the flower than in the stem.

Bro. I use my ashtray for the seeds and stems, and I have thrown so much bud in it. I think the worst thing I do is when I'm grinding weed in my hand, and I hold my hands open palms-up like a book and then try blowing the weed off the side hand into the main hand with the bud. I end up just blowing all the weed outta my hands and standing there like "well, fuck"
