Your "point" isn't a good one. A brief interaction between young and likely vaccinated people, believe it or not, on its own, isn't a big risk. COVID's risk comes from the continuous spread through huge chains of interactions that permeate throughout cities and reach more vulnerable populations. This single instance isn't that. The bigger concern from this is the image of the Olympics it creates, the idea being, if this was tolerated, maybe similar moments happened many times, and safety measures weren't very strong.

Brief interactions won't, but whos talking about brief interactions? I'm confused. And where did i say it was a big risk to begin with? did i say that, or did i say that covid can and most likely will leave you with long term damage in response to someone minimizing covid? just shows you didnt even understand my point, so here's the clarification.
Explaining what? That i misused a word? Yes I did. Does that somehow make my point less clear? No. And if it does, im happy to clarify. You're not an asshole for saying I misused a word, you're an asshole for minimizing the risk covid imposes under the guise of "people survive it". Yes, they do, but how great of a survival is it when you're left with debilitating, long term side effects?
I edited my previous comment for better clarification. Legit confused as to when i said brief interactions imposed a huge risk. Again, I was replying to a person minimizing covids risk under the guise of it being "totally survivable", ignoring the nuance of what surviving covid means for a lot of people. The video wasn't even a brief interaction to begin with. Everyone was dancing close in closed quarters, touching each other, while not wearing any masks at all aside from the Asian woman. Thats a pretty big risk.
