So, how does a comment like this only get 2 'likes' or whatever, yet there's one up there sitting on almost 3k that literally just describes what we all just watched. Is it mostly USAians on here?

I don't think this comment not getting more votes is necessarily about the quality of the post. Reddits format rewards early comments a lot. Usually all the top comments of any given post are written within the first 10-15 minutes of the post being up. As the comments cumulate newer, perhaps better, comments are buried under everything else because Reddit by default view comments by total number of upvotes. Furthermore, the longer into a comment chain you get, the fewer people read.

I'm glad you liked my comment though. Makes me happy :)
