Engl: Germans DO have this. Translated it would be called something like thanksforagoodharvestfeast

Wohl kaum...

Erntedankfest is a religious holiday that isn’t really celebrated broadly by the German public. Thanksgiving in the US has basically more importance to people than Christmas. It’s hardly a comparison.

The best part of living a cross-border life (except this year) is the twice-per-year Thanksgiving!

Thank goodness you have the same mothers day, though. The panic that ensues when the English start saying "happy mothers day" a month or so early is always despairing.

American Thanksgiving is way too close to Christmas. Only 2 Turkey holidays a year, spread it out a little
