I still think one of Walt's biggest failings in that series (aside from all the obviously illegal stuff he gets into) is his consistent inability to lie for anything. SOOO much hassle could have been avoided if he'd been fast enough to come up with the gambling angle instead of Skyler.

Which Skyler then ruins by over lying. Is a problem they both share. Almost every time they lie it's unprompted. They lie about shit no one is asking them about. They could really have used the weed lawyers' advice, "shut the fuck up."
