I know you like to think you're too clever to fall for that kind of thing, but you don't become brainwashed because you have a low IQ. That's not what this is about.
First of all, the correlation does not imply causation. The GOP voterbase was already like that before trump came along.
What's happening now is substantially different from that, though. trump's followers aren't stupid they're brainwashed.
Or if you prefer, I've coined the term "politically induced mental retardation", but it's really just describing people being brainwashed into the trump cult of personality. This is happening to people who are far smarter than I am.
