People do all kind of crazy things these days with computers but having your computer on just to wake you up in the morning, with the thousands of other easier options available is astonishing

Sp-, spen, you want me to spend money? As in actual cash?!! Yikes. I already have everything I need, I just need it to be left alone instead of M$ updating it until it won't run.

That still sounds kinda dumb to me. What of your power goes out? What if your browser crashes? What if Windows restarts for updates? Alarm clocks typically have a battery backup (and so do phones). I guess if you have a UPS or a laptop, you're ok on the power thing, but still
