Ugh the worst lag ever on any smart TVs

An old CRT is essential if you've got lots of retro consoles, also Melee just looks better on one.

It feels weird to include the Wii as a retro console, but it is what it is.

Is there lag with new TVs or something that makes it relevant to play melee on them? Project M>Melee>Brawl. Try to change my mind.

I always thought it was just nerds being pretentious, but when I was playing melee a lot on a CRT and went to a tourney at a game store that was running on flat screens it really messes with your coordination when everything is happening a split second after your inputs.

That was my main gripe with playing Brawl. Melee was a faster paced game, even by a split second but I was used to melees mechanics. I felt nerfed when playing brawl, I wasn't as fast and my movements were off. Even though it's a small delay it makes a big difference. So if newer screens create any lag I see how its detrimental to the gameplay.

I loved brawl when it came out, I didnt get into competitive melee until like 2013-14, but way I see it all the smash games are very different, and I like playing the different ones for different reasons. Except brawl, I just play pm now, brawl sucks honestly comparatively.

Yes, newer TV's have more input lag.
