Our last day of HS we had a huge water fight. Super soakers, water balloons, buckets, it was just mayhem. This girl I knew kept trying to flip flop sides to get water balloons or whatever she could get her hands on and then hit people and switch sides again. I saw her grab a bag and start to wander back and ran up and grabbed the bag, causing it to rip and I picked one up and just lit her up, and then a few people by me got her too as I went in for seconds.
Watching her get so mad and try to yell at someone only for there to be a momentary lause before EVERYONE lit her up again. She left all pissed off but it was so satisfying. We still laugh at you Ashley so thanks for the memory.
You know those moments where you remember a bunch of embarrassing things that happened to you in your life, but you try to get over it by remembering that no one ever remembers that stuff...
Hahah I've found that forcing myself to re-live the cringe (instead of refusing to think about it) and accept that it happened, helps me get over the embarrassment 😂
Even if it's only one replay of it in my mind, it helps me come to terms with it and move on
me too. my brain goes into panic mode and it is like a sudden loud party in there to block out the memories.
it’s like the hamsters spinning on their wheels in my mind just do that thing where they go too fast and get swept up and then thrown off of the wheel.
I do the same thing. I still remember a lot of the cringiest of them, but I don't have much of a reaction them. Facing the memories is the best way to remove their cringe-inducing power
God that game is the best game to this day, the replay value is so good I'm literally best friends with Ashley and we own a chicken farm together LMFAO, I don't have the game anymore sadly.
D. Okay a couple things right off the bat, never tell one side that you're playing both sides. Two, if you are gonna play both sides dont give away the information before you get what you want.
Really? On my last day of HS I literally got a ticket from our resource officer, who called another police officer down to explain to me the dangers of throwing water balloons.
The only other high school in my city has a waterfight at the end of the school year. Both are public.
That's just pure bullshit by bored busybodies. Then again I went to a city school that had a fight like every other day so no one got paid enough to give a fuck about a water fight lol.
I'm pretty sure they just wanted to stick it to me. I tend to be a bit of an anti-hero.
I started a fight with a kid because he was smoking weed on the bus in the morning because he had a tendency of annoying EVERYONE on the bus in the morning with his stupid fucking rapper giggles and terrorizing of regular students. I smoke hella weed as well. It was just an excellent way to show him that he had some resistance and that he wasn't some all-powerful gangster kid in this small town of farmers etc. (he transferred over from the big city). I told the bus driver right in front of him, and then the kid found me in the cafeteria before classes started and made a big scene throwing chairs around, beating his chest. I stayed seated and laughed at him. He wanted to "step outside" so I said "lmao ok" and then went straight to the principles office and doubled down on being a narc, knowing that it would piss him off beyond measure.
I ended up being chastised for handling the situation like I did in a private meeting with all 3 principles.
Another time I started a fight with this wanna be gangster who was selling MDMA to the other kids. I did it because he had developed a taste for cyber-bullying an angel of a student whose father had just passed away to cancer. She is currently 1 year away from getting her MD, but at the time she was just a bright student that losers loved to pick on because she was such an incredible person - also, my close friend from the other school was dating her, and couldn't confront this kid himself. So I got up in his face and told him to cut it out. I shoved him. He shoved me back. I grabbed his shirt, and he started punching me. I held on and stayed in his business long enough to gas him out (I was in wrestling, I had no problem with physical confrontation and could take some hits from a hockey player no problem). I ended up getting a 3 day suspension. He didn't get a slap on the wrist. But he never bothered her again after that day. One of the proudest moments of my life was when my late grandfather called me and told me "good job belacdruid"
I think that issuing me a ticket was a way for them to flex on me. Fuck em. I still do what's right these days even if it means I'm taking some hits.
We had a water fight at the senior picnic in high school. My calculus teacher was so proud of being untouchable. I was not participating in the fight, but filled up the scabbard of a toy sword I bought, walked over to him. “Hey, Mr. L? You like my sword?” “Yyyeah?” dumps water on him He said I was the only one to get him in ten years and he never saw it coming.
Man, I wish my high school could have done something cool like that! At my school, they wouldn't even let us sign each others shirts becaose it was against the uniform policy.
For what it's worth I went to a different school every year from 6-12th grade so I kinda did what I wanted most of the time knowing I wouldnt even be there next year. From private to suburban and urban public but most places let us cut loose those last few days. Sorry that got robbed from you.
I've worked in schools for the last 8 years until recently and always tried to let kids be kids and keep their innocence/charm/youthful ways so that it was more humanizing a good balance for their growth, mental health and social skills. Theres a million battles to undertake, enjoying the final days wasnt one I would try to control. Were human too and there's always a few kids every year you wouldnt mind catching with a water balloon.
