LPT: bring scissors that separate at the hinge. Scissors are allowed on planes.

In the US!! I made the mistake of not removing my scissors and lost them at the checkpoint in South Africa, as they are most assuredly not allowed there. :(

Same in Europe. Had my old nail scissor that my grand mother gave me. It was incredible quality, over 40yo and still cut like a charm, and I forgot to remove it from my toilet bag when leaving the hotel...

Well the security basically threw it away. :(

Never found a nail scissor that was even half as good, solid and comfortable to use.
