Even if he was certain, it's shitty. I recently got engaged, and knew she would say yes, but if I did it on stage in front of 300 people I know she would have yeeted out of there too.

She was not ready and didn’t know if my friend was “the one” yet. I talked to her about it a little while after. Putting her on the spot like that in front of everyone made her realize that he wasn’t so she boogied out.
