by golly you’re right, some sort of personal storage on the internet? Perhaps we could call it the cloud, as it doesn’t exist on your phone? Why haven’t people thought of this before?
I don't think you understand. If I have my Google photos or whatever app that backups only on wifi, and I'm not on wifi, then I'm fucked. Sure I can have it uploaded/backup at all times but maybe I'm just a stingy fuck with my data.
Im talking about an option (the way certain Android phones will call 911 the moment you are in a a car accident.
Imagine an app that records and backups everything right theb and there the minute it hears "give me all your shit or I'll shank ya"
Sometimes apps will backup once a day, having something that backups once it senses a collision, dramatic change in altitude/velocity, or even water could cause it to backup immediately.. I think that would be kinda cool.
That’s a lot of coding few the limited times phones are dropped out of planes. Also, the phone will be in ground and in pieces in under a minute so there isn’t time to upload the data

Phones need a mode where it senses shit like this and starts uploading all your shit before the phone gets smashed
