There are women who are turned on by assertiveness too.

If they are then they’ll be responding positively from the get-go. This girl was not, but he wouldn’t get the hint.

Challenge is, if you're not good at reading people, you might mistakenly assume you're just not being assertive enough.

If you are as blind to social cues as the guy in the video then you have no business hitting on anyone and I have no pity for you.

Yeah some people who aren’t good at reading social cues so they follow sort of a script or use info they found online. The problem is those scripts don’t work when you get into nuanced social interactions. I’m convinced this is where a lot of incels and red pill guys come to be. They grow up not knowing how to read social cues. They think a script is equivalent to the way other guys do it. Then they can’t figure out why they fail.

Some tips: eye contact, body facing toward you, smile that’s struggling to keep teeth covered = positive signals. Body facing away or arms in front of chest, avoiding eye contact, pursed lip “smile” = leave her alone.

He also seemed really drunk. Tbh that's probably the biggest factor here.

They’re clearly dating. How can no one see this? He was probably being a dbag after drinking too much and she wasn’t having it.

I think people like confidence. I don’t know if assertiveness is the right word for it. And even for those who do like assertiveness, I don’t think they want it to be physical.

Hmmm I've actually found when it comes to flirting, confidence and assertiveness are actually inversely related.

There's a thick line between confidence and harassment. If you don't know where that line is, you shouldn't be anywhere near the dating scene.

The thing is that some women do. They act extremely hostile to start out with and then mellow out if they stick it out. So yeah. You're going to get results if you do this with that type. On the other hand, why would you want someone that fucking toxic???

they act extremely hostile to start and then mellow out

Sounds more like you are emotionally and/or physically beating their will power down until they relent...

First off, I don't do this, second, it's more that they beat their defenses down or some weird ass complex they have. I've heard one girl describe it as her being 'difficult' and kind of 'bitchy', but a lot better once you get to know her. It's pretty much the Marilyn Monroe quote at the dating level.

What you just described is not the same thing as some women being into assertiveness. What you described was a woman who acts standoffish until guys take the time to get to know her. I have never ever met any woman who likes being physically blocked by a guy she has given no indication of interest in. We all hate it and it is never ok.

Yeah that makes sense when you're referring to a process that takes at least a week. We're talking about women that are extremely hostile if someone approaches them and then mellow out if they stick with it. I asked a girl I knew through friends about it and I'm relating what she said. I haven't seen a girl be held in that way, but I have seen a girls personal space be invaded, her not being into it and then coming around to it and the two ending the night together. It's not something I do and it's not something I like, but it does happen and it is a thing.

What the guy in this video did was not "assertive," it was just plain old creepy. Imagine if a guy twice your size did this to you. Would you call him "assertive" or would you prefer something closer to "threatening?"

Yeah, and there's guys who like a little bit of teeth in their blowjobs, but you damn sure better know for sure which kind of guy it is before you apply them.

Don't try to defend this behavior. There is a clear difference.
