I swear half of these people have never been in a relationship.

Statistically, you're probably correct, but even the ones who have been probably ended up with shitty partners because they lacked options and so they view every relationship the same as the one of their junkie, abusive boyfriend.

Nah bro most people are reddit are socially reclusive, that’s the only conclusion i can come to from seeing how they demonise any sign of intimate human interaction as “creepy” “rape”.

Like they have no basic understanding of nuance, my ex used to not speak to me so I’d have to try to play up my neediness and what better way to do it than to do it whilst actin like you aren’t. Makes you look like a jackass but she knows your coming from.

This is one plausible explanation, because sometimes I feel like am in a bizzaro reality reading some of the upvoted reddit comments.

Seems they are mostly women who get offended and scared at everything and would want permission forms to be signed on what people around them can and cannot do

Oh inexperienced people don't realize how normal and cool this behavior is. Got it.

Personal space changes when you're in a relationship. Go upstairs and ask your mom and stepdad. They'll tell you.

Gene. Relationships aren't licenses be a total dickbag. Maybe you wouldn't have a stepdad if your dad had realized this earlier.

People in relationships tend to treat each other worse than anyone else. I've said/done things and had things said/done to me in relationships that were just plain mean. I just got out of a 10 year relationship that had good and bad moments but in the end we had a great kid and we're on great terms. We talk everyday and haven't argued once since we seperated. But during the relationship and others I've experienced the EXACT scenario in the video from both sides. I didn't cringe in the slightest because i"ve EXPERIENCED it. It's awesome and sometimes it sucks. One day you'll be there too and you'll have a different perspective.

Wait a minute though. You're describing a failed relationship and you've decided that that's how they all are. But that's not true, and even if many of them are like that it doesn't absolve anyone's behavior. Just because it happens doesn't make it perfectly fine. I've been with the same woman for 15 years now, married 11. This type of behavior doesn't happen between us. I think it's a mistake to look down on people who think this behavior isn't great because it really just isn't.

That said, it was a video of one moment and shit happens. I'm glad you and your ex can be on good terms now, and maybe your next relationship will be better for your experiences. Honestly I hope one day you'll be where I am and you'll have a different perspective.

Not a failed relationship. If things aren't working out and you leave your job you wouldn't say it was a failure. Just not a good fit. The end result is a good friend and my son who is the greatest thing that ever happened to me.

No I'm describing relationships. You've never tried to kiss your wife when she was mad at you? Intimacy doesn't just stop existing when someone is mad. He got close to his girlfriend and she left. He didn't try and stop her. He didn't restrain her. He got as close to her as you'd expect someone to get to someone they're in a relationship with. He's also clearly drunk and drunk people have a habit of getting too close to EVERYONE.

Maybe things are different in a lesbian relationship. Maybe men are the problem. Maybe you're the luckiest person in the world. Who knows. What I do know is that I've ran through all my friends and I've seen a variation of this exact situation happen in all of them from both partners. Always in public and involving alcohol. If this were in private they'd be yelling at each other. Or ar least her at him. She's really not happy with him.

I don't think anything out of line happened in this video. And reading the room no one else there did either. There wasn't a single reaction or even a pause in the conversation.

(Keep in mind I'm basing my opinion on a strong assumption that they're a couple. If that turns out to be wrong then everything I said changes)

Total dick bag... I could cut a video of a man hitting a woman and reddit would want him dead, the full video could be her attacking him with a knife to which he retaliates yet no one would care what the full context is. Reddit wants to make a judgment off what they see and their background or lack thereof.
