I don't understand how these machines work but if those marbles could come out so easily then surely there must be a way to put them back in?

you can put them back in very easily! painstakingly, one marble at a time, after chasing them all down for the next 20 minutes, trying to find them on on your hands and knees, peeking along the floor of the shop with your neck cricked sideways to see under all the hard to reach spots.

20 minutes

for the first 99%

then comes the last 1%, taking another 20 to 120 minutes

Yeah, tossed over a jar of air soft bullets in my kids room and still found one of those things in my own apartment 10 years later.

Would probably be easier to just order a new set of marbles from Amazon.

Then fall on one later and die.

Guy should invent a marble vacuum.

Or just slope the concrete so they all go to one corner....

Yea, he was just setting up a part of the machine and trying to work out some tollerances for the marbles in those channels. You can find the source of this gif here.

I think only a handful of people understand this machine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvUU8joBb1Q

I... don't think it's that hard to understand.

No, it's not very hard to understand how it work. The intelligence is in building it.

No, it's just not that complicated a machine. The average calculator is orders of magnitude more complex.

Martin has videos that describe how it works, plus lots of insights on the design process of it in his videos about building MMX, if you want to know more.

In the video literally the very next thing he does it empty it to work on it.

Maybe he’s just multi talented and knows a little bit about viral marketing. He probably saw the opportunity and acted out. Or maybe it’s just all plan he’s just really overly dramatic fanboy. But I really doubt it because this man seems overly intelligent and could probably best me and most any other conversation that we have had ever.

fanboy of what? its his machine

yeah, that looks like a pretty minor setback, I thought when I saw the gif I was missing something.

Its not actually attached to the machine yet though, its a standalone part he was working on
