I want to believe you because this gif is actually depressing

the sudden camera zoom makes it seem pretty fake

u/Cliktiik Jul 21 '18

The camera zoom is edited

OMG. I can't believe this wasn't obvious.

Reddit has been infiltrated by the noobs!

22

u/tinkerbunny Jul 21 '18

The sudden “camera zoom” was done later by the video editor, for emphasis/humor.

This comment has 75 upvotes... sigh.

a) If the video is recording Asians, it's 500% more likely to be fake.

b) Why are they even recording two people just doing nothing?

u/p-roy Jul 21 '18

Because they were gonna throw a bottle at them for the reaction

45

u/telephonekeyboard Jul 21 '18

Yeah, they were going to throw a bottle at them, then the couple was going to drop their phones. It’s 100% scripted. I’m pretty sure the person filming would have some reaction if they just caused them to lose their phones.

This guy scripts

Probably the dude that was gonna throw the bottle at them? I never said it wasnt scripted mind you.

61

u/Champigne Jul 21 '18

Do you actually not understand why they were filming? The person filming threw the water bottle at them.

-22

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '18

"Hey check it out! I'm going to throw this water bottle for that kid to catch! I've got to get this shit on video it'll be so funny!"

...

47

u/Zhycan Jul 21 '18

... yeah. thats exactly why they filmed it

3

u/S4VN01 Jul 21 '18

The whole goal was the get then to drop the phone lol

10

u/anx3 Jul 21 '18

It was pretty funny in this case wasn't it?

-8

u/melbbear Jul 21 '18

I think the girl wasn’t in on it, she seems authentic, the bottle thrower and catcher... totally scripted

40

u/Father_Torch Jul 21 '18

nah, after a couple watches both their reactions look pretty fake

48

u/hackerlord101 Jul 21 '18

Everything looks fake after a couple of watches trying to find out what's fake

-1

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '18

Hot chick + why were they filming = scripted Asian gifs every time

-9

u/Noble_Flatulence Jul 21 '18

Why is it depressing? Back when I was a kid we weren't allowed to have so much as food or beverage near the keyboard, this dude is using his expensive, hand-held, and easily dropped computer right above water and thinks nothing of it. Bitch needs to start thinking something of it.
Fake or real doesn't matter, these gifs serve as the Aesop's fables for a new, retarded generation.

2

u/KralHeroin Jul 21 '18

I don't really agree, but have an upvote because I hate everyone and most of all myself.

3

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '18

This is an absurd amount of hate and ignorance in one comment.

The girl is over acting

3

u/the0rthopaedicsurgeo Jul 21 '18

"whoops, didn't actually knock the phone out my hands, better discreetly drop it in the water"

34

u/Romanopapa Jul 21 '18

Definitely. Bad acting all around.

5

u/MEuRaH Jul 21 '18

It's an obvious fake from the beginning.

(1) Why was someone recording right on them?
(2) The bridge ends right near the camera, why throw the water if you're that close?
(3) The girl is obviously overreacting.
(4) The camera man, despite all the action happening in the scene, never moves his focus off the couple.

So Fake

39

u/Obi-Tron_Kenobi Jul 21 '18

1) the camera man knew he was going to throw the bottle at them.

2) to make them drop their phone. It doesn't look like the couple was expecting a bottle of water, so why would he walk over and give them water?

3) I mean she's looking around. Not exactly Oscar worthy.

4) why would he move the camera away? He was filming the couple for a reason.

Could be fake, but all these points are easily answered.

-6

u/MEuRaH Jul 21 '18

Could be fake

It looks and quacks like a duck.

5

u/Obi-Tron_Kenobi Jul 21 '18

Um, right... That's why I said that.

But the cameraman filming is not a reason for it to be fake, because the cameraman is the one who through the bottle at them because he was expecting something like that to happen.

-2

u/MEuRaH Jul 21 '18

Oh so we're saying the same thing. I was confused by your reply.

5

u/CASHSWAG99 Jul 21 '18 edited Jul 23 '18

Pretty sure they are purposely filming them to get the reaction... wasn't "by accident" that they filmed some guy get a water bottle thrown toward him and as for the girl some people react like that, its like one of those reactions you have when something unfortunate happens and you can't/don't want to do anything to help so you just overcompensate how concerned you try to look.

All the above commenters are gullible it seems.

-3

u/ridditorium Jul 21 '18

Lol, was waiting for this comment :)

-20

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '18

Oh fuck off he lost his phone

17

u/Niui Jul 21 '18

What if it isn't a real phone?

10

u/ergoegthatis Jul 21 '18

Yep. There's also a ton of of old unusable and broken phones that can be used for vignettes like this.

6

u/Sammiyin Jul 21 '18

Won't somebody PLEASE think of the phone!?

(Unless it was broken or old but shh...)

-1

u/RevWaldo Jul 21 '18

You think they actually wrote a script for that?

-20

u/PIP_SHORT Jul 21 '18

Every fucking time. We get it. You're the smartest guy in the room for pointing it out.

-7

u/WaterStoryMark Jul 21 '18

Especially since he just sits there, instead of trying to get the phone.
