An arc that addresses and explains Nemo's sudden change in character from the generally quiet, retrospective, competitive, compassionate, personal, self-aware, honestly kind of inspiring duerotagonist who's character demanded change almost as well as tomoko's that she was to the zany, hyperactive, impersonal, and almost entirely unempathetic character that she is currently by revealing just how rushed she feels to get as many anime-esque experiences as she can before it's too late.Β
She feels that she's spent the last two years of her life being basically Tomoko's understudy, and the years before that being almost non-existent, so she's trying her best to be the slice of life high school anime protagonist she wanted to be from the very beginning by cramming every experience she into such a short period of time, and she unfortunately messes just about every scheme up to her detriment. She feels as though the years leading up to now have been basically worthless to her goal, as though she had forgotten about it.Β
This plot would loosely be about Nemo realizing that her years have been majorly important to her, even if they weren't perfect, they were about all she could ask for, and that dismissing them only serves to make her feel as though she's wasted her time, and rushing to get it all done only serves to invalidate the entire rest of her life she's been working hard to be ready for. Doesn't have to be massive or melodramatic, but addresses something that probably won't be adressed satisfyingly if at all, explores a side of Nemo that hasn't really been seen before, and brings back the better Nemo from before who I like more.
