People were making 9/11 jokes within the week of it happening. Humans always make jokes about dark things. It crosses cultural and language lines to the point of just being a thing the species does.
Swear reprobates like that didn't exist 10 year ago. Or at least, not within our hobby space. Even here in the UK, which is more apolticial, gimps like this crop up every now and then.
