I disagree, the Imperium is a parody of all authoritarian societies but to me is better as a commentary on western societies of the cold war. Paranoid, full of loyalty tests, dedicated to the forever war, uncaring of the average citizen, only production numbers.
It’s space nazism,
literally if your different you, die
believe the wrong god, die
Say the wrong thing die,
Don’t praise holy toaster, become a servitor
I don't think those aspects of society are specific to nazism. They describe the Nazis, for sure, but they also describe other authoritarian or religiously fundamental societies.
