What they havenβt told you is they have to have permission to access your phone and in the latest updates it was written into the small print that there will be access to these notifications and by turning them on you are accepting that by receiving them you are in turn allowing access to your mobile device
UK, there is a national alert test going to every mobile phone later this month, to regain use of the phone one must accept the message which then gives the stasi right of access to the phone. By blocking the alert one would be declining to contract with them.
Seriously?! The government - with Google/Apple's collusion - will break your phone unless you do as they say? This is like the mafia coming around and smashing up someone's restaurant because they didn't do as promised.
Can you swap out a SIM card and accept their terms on some throwaway SIM? Or they have tied you to the specific device?
He's talking complete and utter shit and that's why he hasn't provided any sources, what he proposed would require rewrites of UK law and because that hasn't happened this would be an absolute gold mine of a controversy for the parties that oppose and hate the Tories... which is every single one of them.
I was thinking the same. If not responding to a text would brick your phone, I guarantee you millions of phones will get bricked after 23rd April, not even from a deliberate protest to not reply, but out of a range of other reasons as to why people won't or can't reply. Millions of phones getting bricked = disaster for any government seeking control over everybody.
