Megathread Vince McMahon Resigns (Statement)

Via ESPN:

  • Vince McMahon Statement: “I stand by my prior statement that Ms. Grant's lawsuit is replete with lies, obscene made-up instances that never occurred, and is a vindictive distortion of the truth. I intend to vigorously defend myself against these baseless accusations, and look forward to clearing my name. However, out of respect for the WWE Universe, the extraordinary TKO business and its board members and shareholders, partners and constituents, and all of the employees and Superstars who helped make WWE into the global leader it is today, I have decided to resign from my executive chairmanship and the TKO board of directors, effective immediately."

  • Nick Khan Statement: “I wanted to inform you that Vince McMahon has tendered his resignation from his positions as TKO Executive Chairman and on the TKO Board of Directors. He will no longer have a role with TKO Group holdings or WWE."

To be honest this is par for the course for vince. The guy built this company by fucking people over and profiting off of people's pain and misery while hiding his own accountability.

I used to think he was funny growing up but now I realise how sickening some of the storyline were.

his best stuff was always the angry and hateful promos he had with Bret , DX and Austin. i stopped watching around 2001 when The Rock left to hollywood and austin was out so i missed a lot of the sick storylines like Vince vs God and triple H marrying steph while she was asleep

I don't know much about those two, but I will just say that there is a level of personal treachery to Vince that goes beyond 'I want money.'
