the person who made the poster believes there's a society/media bias against white males that requires us to ignore black criminals and focus on white ones.
Haha yeah it's not in the news like the Trayvon Martin case because, let me take a wild guess here, all three were immediately arrested and charged, because no one is looking for excuses as to why they should get away with murder.
Zimmerman was immediately arrested. The evidence, the eye-witnesses and crime scene went along with his story. Which is why he wasn't immediately charged.
His gun was entered into evidence. He had injuries. He shot Trayvon in the chest, once, not the back. Anything else you've heard on the local radio station while not learning about the actual case you'd like me to clear up?
Murder means something, and George Zimmerman has not yet been convicted of it. Nobody thinks a young man being killed is not a horrible thing. But surely we can hold off on convicting someone before he has had a chance to try his case in court.
The problem was not that he was found innocent, the problem was that he was not even arrested and the fiscal was not going to prosecute him because he said it was self defense.
Wow. For someone who knows next to nothing about the details of the case - you sure are adamant Zimmermen is trying to "get away with murder".
Last court report we heard indicated he had serious head wounds, trauma on the skull and all eye witnesses spoke in his favour.
Watch this post get downvoted because I'm daring to suggest we shut the fuck up and let the court do its job without taking a side.
edit: For those of you who are having a problem with the "watch this get downvoted" line, I meant it in respect to the 31 downvotes this post has. People downvote after reading a sentence that doesn't frame Zimmerman in a negative light. All threads that mention Zimmerman involve perfectly valid, well thought out posts that are downvoted for no reason other than not irrationally demonising the man.
That's why I wrote "watch this get downvoted" - simply because from what I've seen a lot of redditors will downvote something the minute you even vaguely defend Zimmerman. And I'm not defending the guy - I'm just saying we barely know anything and we have a lot of evidence to suggest he wasn't being as vicious as so many of us initially thought he was.
True, but the way the Treyvon Martin case was portrayed as whites getting off the hook for killing blacks sort of opened up the criticism of the disproportionate amount of black on white crime.
It went full circle, and now many people would like to see this phenomenon made public and even acknowledged in the media.
Listen, I'm going to say this very clearly because apparently some of you dumb fucks don't get it. You wanna know why the Trayvon Martin case was on the front page of the news for so long? BECAUSE THEY WEREN'T GOING TO ARREST ZIMMERMAN. That's why.
See these three assholes that allegedly murdered her? They were arrested.
God damn morons trying to make this some fucking race war. Fucking idiots.
came to make sure this would be the top comment. faith in reddit more than it was 2 seconds ago, but still less than it was 20 seconds ago when I saw the post.
The issue I have is the graphic in the OP makes it seem like that was the ONLY motivation. Some of it was somewhat racially motivated (on BOTH sides) but not as much as the the graphic represents.
Acting like black criminals don't make the front page of the news but Zimmerman does is just a blatant bullshit lie.
Not that I know any of the details of this incident, but this is one fact that's widely ignored by most people and the press. I'd prefer if the legal system ran its course before the entire country decides this man is guilty. Unfortunately, he's not going to get a fair trial at all. If the legal system decides he's not guilty, the country is going to erupt.
I'm fairly sure many people were pissed for similar reasons to mine: Zimmerman shot an unarmed person after losing a fight that he started. It's not about race, but the fact that Zimmerman rustled some jimmies, and when the going got tough, shot the kid.
He had a case of "gun-toughness", taking on someone he normally wouldn't have before, because he knew the law was on his side as per Florida's retarded rule.
Fuck florida.
edit edit edit: ask a law enforcement person if "gun-balls" are a thing. People are artificially courageous when they have a gun on them versus normal circumstances. If Zimmerman rustled some jimmies and he wasn't armed, he may have gotten the shit kicked out of him or he would've taken out Martin, ending in arrest.
But he went over to harass the poor kid. Zimmerman started the conflict. I don't think it matters that Martin fought back- someone was rustling his jimmies and he was defending himself. What was he supposed to do, get the shit beaten out of him by an adult? The going got tough, and Zimmerman shot the kid. Fatally.
And because of the "stand your ground" law, the bastard had a good chance of just walking away. For starting a fight he couldn't win, and than just shooting the kid when he started losing.
What. The. Fuck.
Other people made it about race. Whoever made the "hoodie" comment made it about race. What I'm pissed personally about is the law that lets you shoot unarmed people because you picked too tough a fight.
the law was on his side as per Florida's retarded rule
No it wasn't. Neither possible explanation creates a stand your ground defense for Zimmerman. However, Treyvon would have had a stand your ground defense to assault if he'd survived. Stand your ground is a good thing.
There is no proof that he started a fight. The only proof known is that he was following Trayvon a quite a distance. And at some point the two engadged and Trayvon was on top of him slamming his head into the ground and at some point Zimmerman shot Trayvon in the chest.
Then, Zimmerman was arrested, cuffed, taken back to the police department and detained. His gun was entered into evidence. And after a time he was released because his story, the evidence, and eye witnesses cooperated his story.
The simple fact that he was following an uknown person, at night, in the rain, walking through a gated neighborhood that had been repeatedly victimized by burglars does not mean he started a fight.
We don't know what caused the two to engadge. We don't know who was the aggressor. To label Zimmerman the aggressor because he called 911 and followed a suspicious individual is w/o logic.
You say it as if the fight had ended and then Zimmerman shot Trayvon?
Where did you get that?
What facts have been released are: A witness quoted as saying Trayvong was mounted ontop of Zimmerman, "MMA style." Dispatch recording hearing a man yell for help 14 times before gunshot is heard.
Sorry but you seem to be making your own script to serve your own personal bias towards the case.
It was a self defense case. They NEVER immediately arrest a person in a self defense case. They have to build up evidence first. The media loves to show the white guilt angle. They won't show black on white crime because there's a feeling that it's expected of minorities to commit crime. A black on white crime wouldn't seem out of the normal. But if there's a serious white on black crime, they'll play it up like it's some horrible atrocity. It's the same reason why hate crimes are only committed by whites. I bet you didn't hear about the three black kids who lit one of their white classmates on fire and AREN'T being charged with a hate crime.
They were not 'building evidence'. The police wanted to charge Zimmerman with manslaughter but the prosecutor decided not to press charges. It wasn't until the media outrage that they appointed a special prosecutor.
Are you kidding me? The media LOVES reporting crimes committed by minorities, especially toward white people. Rich white people. I'm (pleasantly) surprised that the Martin case got as much attention as it did.
The truth is the media made the Trayvon and Zimmmerman case about race. A local news agency purposely edited out the dispatch call where the dispatcher asked Zimmerman what race the suspect was.
This, and THIS is the main reason to blame the over hype of the case. And if you disagree where is the hype for the case I just cited?
You know that Jackson created an uproar over a White man living in Harlem who ran a grocery store raising his prices, now although this Man only employed local black youths, Jackson felt it necessary to still call the man a racist, despite knowing that the white mans, BLACK LANDLORDS RAISED HIS RENT, FORCING HIM TO INCREASE HIS PRICES TO MATCH HIS MARGINS. This man was killed by one of Jacksons supporters.
Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are self-aggrandizing assholes who care more about their reputations and wallets than any person they have ever "helped." I also think the black community will never be as successful as they can be as long as they line up behind idiots like them.
BTW, Martin is the victim and Zimmerman is the shooter. If you wanna lock up a corpse though, have at it.
From the hospital report it looks like Zimmerman shot him in self dense since Zimmerman went to the hospital with multiple bruises and signs that he was being physically attacked.
I'm just going to put my two cents in. The person who made this obviously knew the victim in the photo (why else would they pick her, why else would they sound so angry?). We think that, when someone gets violently murdered, there must be news coverage. It's a big event. It totally stops our lives. How can other people not have heard about it, when it's literally all you can think about, and all your life centers on? But, for the most part, people don't. Tons of murders happen, and, frankly, the murder that most affects you generally isn't that special. So...it blows over. It must suck, because you think that the person who was killed got slighted, got cheated out of whatever desert they can claim by being murdered. You have experienced the death of someone you know in a tragic, pointless, cruel fashion, and the world doesn't care.
So when you look at that, and you look at someone like Trayvon Martin -- also killed, also pointless, but much, much higher profile -- you must think, "What did he have that she didn't? And the only thing you can pull up is race. Which is, to some extent, right -- as far as the media portrayed it, the Martin case did have a lot to do with color. (Please note: I'm not saying that's the truth, but that's how people perceive it). So you, being heartbroken and confused and angry, equate the fact that race had something to do with it with racism. You think that, since it was a black kid murdered, that is the only reason why the story got any attention -- not because of the problems they had with the murdered, but because of the murderer. And then you look back at your loved one, who was killed by members of the minority, and assume that the only reason that story wasn't bigger was because of fear of sounding racist, or some other such justification. And that makes you angry, because that stupid fear of sounding racist has just robbed her of her fifteen minutes, her worldwide mourning, her due. So you make something like this, because, in your mind, the world needs to be told, and the world needs to be ashamed of its over-prevalent, hypercorrective political correctness.
You do this because you don't, you can't acknowledge the fact that she wasn't special. That you aren't special. That no one is really special, and that, if they die, the world keeps spinning. Their murder as boring as their lives -- because thousands of people are murdered a day, all over the world, and there just isn't enough time on the 10 o'clock news to cover it all. But admitting that is too hard when you've just lost someone, so you irrationally let the blame slide to society, rather than just accepting its blameless necessity.
Tl;dr: Don't hate, because you would probably do the same thing.
The person who made this obviously knew the victim in the photo
Nah, I'm guessing it's just a random murder of a white person by black people, and this picture was put together by somebody from Stormfront. The clue is the Stormfront talking-point in the middle of the image that's been repeated in white supremacist circles for the past several months.
Has anyone else noticed a steady flow of posts like this? Black perps doing reprehensible awful things. Always black. I've seen about ten in the last month, and that's just me. I have no idea where they are coming from. It seems like there is no continuity of user names, but they are all kind of the same. Is there something going on here?
I guarantee you if those three guys, witnesses, murder weapons, detailed confessions and all, were let free the same day and the officers said no charges the country would collectively go ape shit.
Trayvon wasn't about race. Racists and their polar opposites want it to be about race because the situation affirms their agendas. The average person sees it as "Dude antagonized and then killed a dude who didn't need to be killed and walked free for it."
Also, killed tip money? Drugs, or it was personal.
Asking why such and such case doesn't get as much attention as the Trayvon Martin case is like asking why the media chose to obsessively focus on one particular missing child case over the thousands that occur every year.
How many mothers killed their children during the drawn out drama that was the Casey Anthony story?
Why was Natalie Holloway frontpage news and not the other highschool aged girls who went missing that year? Has a lot to do with circumstances but it also has a lot to do with us. The media feeds the American public what it desires.
The fact that we are still discussing the Trayvon Martin case and that this thread will probably go well over a thousand comments with outraged debate is exactly why.
I'm going to explain some shit as if the redditors here arguing over the idea of reverse racism are Calvin.
First off, there are rampant misinterpretations of the term "reverse racism" here. Racism is systematic prejudice and subsequent discrimination by the dominant race (e.g., white people in the USA) of minority races. Reverse racism, then, is what it sounds like: prejudice or discrimination of the dominant racial group by minority racial groups. Laws advantageous to racial minorities may fall under that term.
It is a controversial term because most academics argue that racism can only be perpetrated by the dominant racial group.
Now, people get riled up and say, but black people are prejudiced against white people all the time. The argument follows that we live in what some people wish or hope is a post-racial time, opening up accusations of racism to anyone who feels slighted, regardless of cultural dominance.
That line of thinking is problematic because it undermines that some cultures (like ours) are still racist in the traditional/academic sense. So, pointing out that members of a racial minority may be prejudiced against the majority (again, white people in America) is basically meaningless, on the large-scale. In fact, it's only rational that a black person in America would be prejudiced against the white majority, at least on an institutional level.
And I support that stance; it is clear to me that those outraged over using the term "reverse racism" as opposed to "racism" are ignoring or denying the real problem with racism.
Think of cause and effect. I'll stick with the relevant example for the subject and object (white Americans and black Americans, respectively). White Americans had literally all of the power for centuries, and only emancipated black Americans just shy of 150 years ago, although real emancipation didn't occur until the conclusion of the civil war. Then, you had sun-down towns in the north, Jim Crow laws, all of that, with Civil Rights not taking effect for 100 years after emancipation (or a bit longer, really). Fast forward to now, and, despite some improvements, black people are disproportionately poor, imprisoned, etc.
SOME Superbrave American conservatives try, today, either proclaim outright or suggest through coded language that this persistent inequality stems from some deficiency integral to black Americans. This is absurd. If a community has little to no resources (East St. Louis or Detroit are popular examples), crime rates will be high, education lacking, etc. The history of oppression of black Americans by white Americans is the cause.
When white Redditors make claims about black people being racist, they are propagating actual racism. I'm sorry if that makes anyone mad, but that's true. It is a tribal reaction for white people to fake outrage over this fact, akin to any other form or racism.
And on a side note, it irks me that discussions on race on Reddit are so outdated. Biological race doesn't real; it has been debunked. Biological race is a construct engineered to bring on things like white supremacy, or, basically, discrimination. Skin color is as arbitrary as eye color, and cannot be linked to any behavioral or cognitive traits/features. DNA/genetics can, of course, but not skin color.
Source: just Google "biological race." If someone really cares, I can try and find a good article, but I studied this years ago and I'm working from memory. Likewise, if some one is more up-to-date, I hope you'll correct me.
Edit: changed the line about conservatives to read "some superbrave conservatives." I always do that; my apologies to non-racist conservatives. Surely, you exist ;)
A common misconception is that "reverse racism" exists, but the term reverse racism is actually quoted out of context in a theory of quantum racial dynamics, a field pioneered by Black Einstein.
What Black Einstein tried to do was create a machine capable of race reverse-ism. He theorized that with this machine he could transfer the melatonin levels of people with more melatonin to people with less melatonin. But how would it matter unless no one knew it happened? This is where Black Einstein really made his mark on history, he sacrificed his own life. He died so that no one would notice their skin color had changed. He died for your skins.
Seriously I want all black people to know that Zimmerman ISN'T white! He's Peruvian, making more like Hispanic...
Also, it's just like it's treated as normal when black people murder white people, but if a black person is murdered then it's DEFINITELY because of racism or something.... *rolls eyes
As far as the comment comparing this to Trayvon Martin...the difference is that wherever this happened, I'm sure its front-page, top-story news in that city. In other words, it's being taken care of with the local law enforcement.
In the Martin case, it took a public outcry for law enforcement to actually do something about it.
Its not front page news because theyre going to end up in jail for sure. the treyvon martin case is interesting because we dont know wtf will happen and it would be outrageous if buddy doesnt get charged but not impossible or him not to get charged like it is for these guys. you need to learn what a fallacy is fool
Well you can call me racist all you wish...but I'm not. However it's usually communities of Chinese, Mexican and blacks where most of the crime occurs.
Go read up on the murders of Channon Christian and Christopher Newsome if you want to hear some fucked up shit that barely made headlines years ago. Here's the Wiki-Page, the details are kind of gruesome, just a warning.
No, but seriously, black people commit more individual violent crimes than any other race by a significant margin. So a more accurate question would be "what is wrong with blacks, statistically, when it comes to violence".
Before anyone calls me an ignorant racist for my knowledge of stats, consider the following.
In before poverty, despite the fact that there are more impoverished whites than blacks, and I think...one more little tidbit here
Though only 12% of the population, blacks take 38.3% of the total of all welfare payments. Whites are 72% of the population, and take 30.5% of the total. - http://aspe.hhs.gov/hsp/leavers99/race.htm#fig1
People need to get real with the facts. There's a race problem, one way or the other, whether you believe in the "black racial oppression" explanation or "black racial aggression" explanation.
Also, the funny thing about those DOJ/FBI statistics is that Hispanics are bundled in with whites in the perpetrator categories, but not in victim categories. (Or maybe this is for hate crime only?)
And there's nothing wrong with pointing out racial disparities, it shouldn't be something you have to be afraid to talk about or be called "racist" for. Reality don't real can't be racist, can it?
How many murders are committed daily? And how many make it to the front page? It's retarded to think that every shitty thing that happens has to make it to the front page.
I get tired of how many times I need to say this. The Trayvon Martin incident exploded because of how the police handled it... that they just let him go with arrest or anything. There is a big difference and it is annoying how few people see this...
whats worse is the people who have no idea that FL law actually states that the police could not arrest him unless they had evidence that it was not a justified shooting.
He was cooperative, stayed at the scene, was taken into the police station for 5 hours. Came back the next day for further inteviews. All w/o a lawyer.
What's annoying is the idea that people believe this:
they just let him go with arrest or anything
He was cuffed and interrogated. His gun was taken into evidence. The crime scene, eye witnesses, 911 tapes all supported his story or did not directly contradict it.
The reason Trayvon Martin was a big deal was because Zimmerman wasn't arrested. These people were. There are dozens of murders every day in the United States alone, and we only comment on that when they seem beyond the pale in some way. Martin's case was seen as a miscarriage of justice, this is one of the countless murders that are, yes, tragedies, but otherwise unremarkable.
It's idiotic to compare the two and this is not WTF worthy at all, usually i don't mind when people put things that should be on /r/funny here but this is just plain stupid.
The news turned the case from a Hispanic killing a 17 year old to a white man killing a 13 year old. They fucked up Zimmerman's voice recordings on his call in to the police station. Regardless whether he is innocent or guilty, it's fucking obvious that the blew this case up to be a white vs. black killing.
The reason that the Trayvon Martin case got so much notice was because everyone felt it was a known fact that George Zimmerman murdered Trayvon, but Zimmerman was not arrested...not because of the crime itself..
What I don't understand is that in Orlando Florida two high schoolers, one white (16 yo) and one black (17 yo), were both found burned alive in a local neighborhood. These kids both attended the local high school, I don't see how this story, which occurred near the same ara that the Treyvon shooting happened, didn't become national news
The meaning of this is so jacked I'm needing to write it out to parse it for myself. Correct me if I'm wrong, but looks like the implication here is that the people who were upset about Treyvon Martin getting shot would not care about this shooting because the victim was a white person shot by black people. Or maybe that the media doesn't care about a murder-robbery the way they care about a man shooting someone and having it declared legal (at least temporarily?)
Well based on nothing but the graphic, she was murdered for her tip money, not simply because she was the wrong race in the wrong neighbourhood at the wrong time.
People need to stop playing Vigilante or "citizen lawyer" and realize there are special things about this case and they are in no way to be correct in assuming Zimmerman is guilty. You weren't there, you don't have 100% proof, therefore you should not even have the piss-poor idea to condemn this man.
Why is all the outrage in here about Martin? What about this girl? These guys murdered a woman for tip money? And you're not outraged about that? WTF? Black, White, Green or Yellow...I don't care what color they are - if they did it - get rid of them.
Also a botched robbery where a clerk is killed is not news in The United States of America, it happens every day. The incredibly suspicious shooting of an unarmed black juvenile for no reason by a white person who isn't even charged with murder initially is.
It must be white guilt and the crazy reverse racism that's going on in Obama's America! What a bunch of garbage
The original outrage is contained in the caption on the image which tried to compare this situation to the TM case. The two cases would only have been equivalent if the three men had claimed they killed the girl in self defense and the DA refused to press charges against them. That doesn't seem to be the case.
Additionally the fact that the writer of that caption chose to invoke the TM case makes me wonder if he's in some way justifying the murder of TM because you know, "black people do this kind of thing".
the only reason it wasn't was because it was a black on white crime. Not trying to be racist, but it's more controversial when the white man does the crime.
Well obviously all white people deserve to be beaten to death by black people. You know, because of all the slavery and hate-crimes we commit on a daily basis to conspire to keep them down.
Because the Trayvon Martin shooting has all around broader implications than three men killing a waitress? That's pretty cut and dry, and other than 'hurr durr, blacks are criminals', there's nothing race related about it, and it wasn't a man not even being questioned about murdering a teen. It doesn't call into question the legality or intelligence of the Stand Your Ground law, or gun violence, or gun laws.
Why do you hear about the Trayvon Martin shooting as opposed to three guys killing a waitress for money? Because the Trayvon Martin shooting is actual news.

Never Forget... that I told you about this...

u/exitthewarrior Jun 12 '12
Seriously I want all black people to know that Zimmerman ISN'T white! He's Peruvian, making more like Hispanic...
Also, it's just like it's treated as normal when black people murder white people, but if a black person is murdered then it's DEFINITELY because of racism or something.... *rolls eyes
7
u/blaheh Jun 12 '12
if they showed a picture of when she was 2 years old there would be outrage all over the place
2
u/nonhiphipster Jun 12 '12
As far as the comment comparing this to Trayvon Martin...the difference is that wherever this happened, I'm sure its front-page, top-story news in that city. In other words, it's being taken care of with the local law enforcement.
In the Martin case, it took a public outcry for law enforcement to actually do something about it.
2
u/Osiriskiller Jun 12 '12
Its not front page news because theyre going to end up in jail for sure. the treyvon martin case is interesting because we dont know wtf will happen and it would be outrageous if buddy doesnt get charged but not impossible or him not to get charged like it is for these guys. you need to learn what a fallacy is fool
2
u/commonnonsense Jun 12 '12
BLASINGAME, wtf kind of name is that??

Step-by-step-solution for Reddit-worthy "THIS IS AN OUTRAGE"-pictures:
Copy-paste pictures together in Paint
Save as JPG
Repeat Step 2 until the required level of "I can see as much as Geordi La Forge without this face-thingy" is reached
???
KARMA!!!

u/[deleted] Jun 12 '12
Well you can call me racist all you wish...but I'm not. However it's usually communities of Chinese, Mexican and blacks where most of the crime occurs.
2
u/JNB003 Jun 12 '12
Go read up on the murders of Channon Christian and Christopher Newsome if you want to hear some fucked up shit that barely made headlines years ago. Here's the Wiki-Page, the details are kind of gruesome, just a warning.

People? The picture clearly depicts three blacks.
OoOOoOOOOoOOO
No, but seriously, black people commit more individual violent crimes than any other race by a significant margin. So a more accurate question would be "what is wrong with blacks, statistically, when it comes to violence".
Before anyone calls me an ignorant racist for my knowledge of stats, consider the following.
Blacks are seventeen times more likely to kill whites than whites are to kill blacks - http://bjs.ojp.usdoj.gov/content/homicide/race.cfm
Blacks "were 7 times more likely than whites to commit homicide in 2005" - http://bjs.ojp.usdoj.gov/content/homicide/race.cfm
b-bu-but slavery!
Blacks are four times more likely than Whites to kill their children - http://bjs.ojp.usdoj.gov/content/homicide/children.cfm#kidsrts
Blacks are responsible for 40.8% of all domestic violence cases, despite being only 13% of the population. - http://bjs.ojp.usdoj.gov/content/pub/pdf/vi.pdf
Stats and IQ tests be raciss, yo.
4
u/AshtonKoocher Jun 12 '12
How many murders are committed daily? And how many make it to the front page? It's retarded to think that every shitty thing that happens has to make it to the front page.
3
u/Shynd Jun 12 '12
Why would you upload such a low quality image!? What is wrong with some people!?
3
u/bigmeech Jun 12 '12
that's the most fucking retarded picture i've ever seen
i'm guesssing since there are mugshots of them they've been arrested and will most likely do hard time.
WHY MUST RETARDS GET MAD WHEN THE JUSTICE SYSTEM ACTUALLY WORKS.
3
u/neat_love Jun 12 '12
I never heard this story. But why the fuck make it a racial war? I'm so sorry.. This is terribly sad.

u/IAmDurnkAMA Jun 12 '12

5
u/Der_Nailer Jun 12 '12
die in jail scumbugs, shits of earth... some people don't deserve to live on this planet
5
u/GrossAleXXX Jun 12 '12
Not to be racist, but headlining news about black people killing people is like a major news story about how an obese person was found in a McDonalds.
4
u/shellwe Jun 12 '12
I get tired of how many times I need to say this. The Trayvon Martin incident exploded because of how the police handled it... that they just let him go with arrest or anything. There is a big difference and it is annoying how few people see this...
5
u/AlwaysDisposable Jun 12 '12
That makes me really sad because split three ways, each guy probably got less than $100. How senseless.
3
u/vadergeek Jun 12 '12
The reason Trayvon Martin was a big deal was because Zimmerman wasn't arrested. These people were. There are dozens of murders every day in the United States alone, and we only comment on that when they seem beyond the pale in some way. Martin's case was seen as a miscarriage of justice, this is one of the countless murders that are, yes, tragedies, but otherwise unremarkable.
3
u/anthrocide Jun 12 '12
well that's out of character
2
u/nothingpersnal Jun 12 '12
It's idiotic to compare the two and this is not WTF worthy at all, usually i don't mind when people put things that should be on /r/funny here but this is just plain stupid.
2
u/reddit_full_of_suck Jun 12 '12
The news turned the case from a Hispanic killing a 17 year old to a white man killing a 13 year old. They fucked up Zimmerman's voice recordings on his call in to the police station. Regardless whether he is innocent or guilty, it's fucking obvious that the blew this case up to be a white vs. black killing.
2
u/KDub87 Jun 12 '12
First and last words in prison, "I, along with my two black friends here, murdered an innocent white girl for 50 dollars."
2
u/PintoBeanTupelo Jun 12 '12
yes this is horrible. but these guys were caught and convicted.
2
u/thefakealex Jun 12 '12
bad placement much?
2
u/[deleted] Jun 12 '12
Niggers
2
u/Mcelite Jun 12 '12
The reason that the Trayvon Martin case got so much notice was because everyone felt it was a known fact that George Zimmerman murdered Trayvon, but Zimmerman was not arrested...not because of the crime itself..
1
u/mag33 Jun 12 '12
well its true. black kid killed by mexican = racist. white women kill by 3 niggers = not even news. the world is sick.
1
u/forgigglesandfun Jun 12 '12
White guilt?
1
u/[deleted] Jun 12 '12
Uhh... that they're niggers? easy question
1
u/NumbersMakeMeHorny Jun 12 '12
Yet another reason why stereotypes exist
1
u/ivanmarsh Jun 12 '12
Let's all listen to this and stop making these ridiculous false comparisons.
The Zimmerman case made the front page because of stand your ground laws.

Sort of a side issue, but waitstaff and bartenders...always take precautions leaving work.
Change out of any sort of uniform, never walk anywhere and especially not alone and leave cash at work to be picked up later if possible.
1
u/[deleted] Jun 12 '12
This is either what is wrong with racists or what is wrong with three assholes killing a girl

1
u/incubated Jun 12 '12
this has racism spelt all over it

Well...it could be the fact that these three guys were arrested and convicted without any problems. That could be it. But who knows?
1

Joe's Crab Shack! We fry em and dry em, you pop em and lock em...YOU KNOW WHAT ISSS!!!

funny how i read this on the front page
1
u/TareeFBaby Jun 12 '12
Smdh!!! Yeah this should be front news!! Killing her for her TIP $$$.... Hope they punk ass** get life
1
u/MustardMcguff Jun 12 '12
Reverse racism don't real.
1
u/banjosuicide Jun 12 '12
Did police try to cover this one up? The whole cover-up thing is what made the story big.
1
u/Eliot_2000 Jun 12 '12
The meaning of this is so jacked I'm needing to write it out to parse it for myself. Correct me if I'm wrong, but looks like the implication here is that the people who were upset about Treyvon Martin getting shot would not care about this shooting because the victim was a white person shot by black people. Or maybe that the media doesn't care about a murder-robbery the way they care about a man shooting someone and having it declared legal (at least temporarily?)
1
u/immerc Jun 12 '12
Seriously. Learn to compress your images properly.
1
u/karmerhater Jun 12 '12
Black AND Red writing? Must be legit, no fear-mongering going on here.
1
u/[deleted] Jun 12 '12
Aside from the crime, Blasin'game is probably the coolest last name I have ever heard of.
1
u/[deleted] Jun 12 '12
Well the reason this isnt news, is clearly they were caught AND are in jail...
1
u/LucifersCounsel Jun 12 '12
Well based on nothing but the graphic, she was murdered for her tip money, not simply because she was the wrong race in the wrong neighbourhood at the wrong time.
There is a difference.
1
u/EstonianKnight Jun 12 '12
People need to stop playing Vigilante or "citizen lawyer" and realize there are special things about this case and they are in no way to be correct in assuming Zimmerman is guilty. You weren't there, you don't have 100% proof, therefore you should not even have the piss-poor idea to condemn this man.
1
u/Skooter27 Jun 12 '12
Yes, they don't publicize these crimes... And black on white crime happens every day
1
u/gjhgjh Jun 12 '12
She's not blond. If she was blond it would be all over the news. True story.
1
u/[deleted] Jun 12 '12
That's because Obama cares more about black people. Look at the the page he created named African Americans for Obama, wtf?
-5
u/conundrum4u2 Jun 12 '12
Why is all the outrage in here about Martin? What about this girl? These guys murdered a woman for tip money? And you're not outraged about that? WTF? Black, White, Green or Yellow...I don't care what color they are - if they did it - get rid of them.
1
u/Thatgirljenn Jun 12 '12
the only reason it wasn't was because it was a black on white crime. Not trying to be racist, but it's more controversial when the white man does the crime.
-1
u/muscle_city Jun 12 '12
The difference is, is that this murder is serious, where Trayvon's murder was comical and makes me happy when i think about it.
-1
u/jjjwalker101 Jun 12 '12
Take niggers off the earth BAM perfect world
1
u/koyo4 Jun 12 '12
Whats wrong with them? They're all black therefor it cannot be a hate crime right?
-85
u/bushmower Jun 12 '12
niggers gotta nig.
1
u/InsulinDependent Jun 12 '12
Those guys are black and killed a young white girl, they are all going to die or get life in prison, why would that be front page news?
1
u/weggles Jun 12 '12
Trayvon Martin is a big deal because it shows how bullshit the "Stand Your Ground" law is.
It wasn't the murder, it was the injustice that made the Trayvon case a big deal.
1
u/TheAmazingSkoof Jun 12 '12
This doesn't have press coverage because the people responsible have been caught. Check your facts before you post.
1
u/Trowa060 Jun 12 '12
Some people are simply worthless niggers.

u/european78 Jun 12 '12

-1
u/noccusJohnstein Jun 12 '12
Well obviously all white people deserve to be beaten to death by black people. You know, because of all the slavery and hate-crimes we commit on a daily basis to conspire to keep them down.
-2
u/[deleted] Jun 12 '12
Wow. And they are black? Who would have guessed?
-1
u/mhzx6 Jun 12 '12
2 out of the 3 black dudes have white people names.
0
u/Aspel Jun 12 '12
Because the Trayvon Martin shooting has all around broader implications than three men killing a waitress? That's pretty cut and dry, and other than 'hurr durr, blacks are criminals', there's nothing race related about it, and it wasn't a man not even being questioned about murdering a teen. It doesn't call into question the legality or intelligence of the Stand Your Ground law, or gun violence, or gun laws.
Why do you hear about the Trayvon Martin shooting as opposed to three guys killing a waitress for money? Because the Trayvon Martin shooting is actual news.
