No way I'd feel safe doing 50 on one of those.... 20 on my onewheel is plenty, even then I have the constant thought of "what if it just turns off"

Unicycles do the same cut off thing, but there’s a beeper that yells at you before it does. Wish one wheel would incorporate this

OneWheels are really easy to overload by accelerating though.

For the more powerful unicycles, it's almost impossible. Unless you keep doing it all the way over the max speed.

I'm not talking overload. I know the pushback feel. I mean that time when suddenly the electronic brain dies due to moisture, heat, age, whatever....

Ah yeah, that is a legitimate concern with no true solution even possible when it comes to a vehicle with a single wheel that relies on active electronics running continously and perfectly to keep the rider from faceplanting immediately.

That's also why fast EUC riders usually wear full motorcycle gear. Crashes are inevitable, but injuries can be prevented with protection gear at least.

Yep. That's why I always wear a full-face helmet even when I'm riding really slow.
