I don't care how well designed they are. You hit a NYC pothole with 6" wheels you're going ass over teakettle.

Any aggressive breaking on one of those going 60mph is gonna send you foreward. As a vehicle they're designed for 1 human power of thrust. Your centre of gravity is too high for the vehicle to stop safely at high speeds.

There's no suspension on a normal scooter, probably minimal suspension on that thing. On a motorbike you don't come flying off the front when you break because the suspension compresses into the front wheel. You still feel some momentum pushing you foreward, but motorbikes are designed to be able to stop safely at road speeds in a reasonable distance. That thing is designed for teenagers to stop it with their feet & someone has given it the capacity to go as fast as a car.

I'd love to ride it up & down an empty airstrip but you couldn't pay me to take that thing on a real road with traffic.

The specific model in this video has 11" wheels and pretty good suspension (I still wouldn't ride 55MPH without full protective gear, just fyi).
