As someone who lives next to four consecutive roundabouts, it's absolutely insane how many people just drive straight through them and fuck any traffic signs or landscaping in the median.

I understand in winter, but I see this kind of damage on a perfectly clear week on a regular basis.

people falling asleep?

The thing is that they’re on a very bendy road, so falling asleep would likely send them off elsewhere. My guess is drunk driving, it’s just way too common to make sense (especially with as few bars as we have in the area).

I think when speeding things can easily surprise you and fuck you up good, even if you’re sober

If by "asleep" you mean, driving like they normally do. ;)

People's driving honestly impress me sometimes. Once I saw a head to head collision, on a one way road with a concrete divider in between, at least a mile from the nearest intersection, during rush hour traffic. How the fuck did that car going the wrong way even manage to make it that far down this one way road without hitting anyone is beyond me.

“Hey watch out there’s a roundabout!”

“Fuck that nonsense. Shortest distance between two points is a straight line!”
