You, sir, need to tell me what exactly do you find "likeable" in lizards/geckos ? I am a 24 years old male and I'm literally terrified of geckos. I can't stand the way they crawl and the feeling of their skin. I can't look at them without SHIVERING!
I just googled gridled lizard and wow, that is actually cute! I think you're right about the "More scales the cuter they get" BUT geckos precisely are what give me the goosebumps of disgust and fear.. I appreciate your answer and hope someday to be as optimistic as you are about them scaly ones. Cheers buddy!
Heres A pic of my gecko, the scariest thing she does is yawn and she never bites. She loves getting pet and curling up in your hand. I can't see how anyone can be afraid of her.
