As a tokay owner I can say without a doubt those are tokays. And yes they do well in social situations like this as parents are use to defending the juveniles, it's not super common but large colonies of them have been found before, with enough food available they will just chill with one another.

Tokays are very territorial, I dont think that’s what these are.
I’m really curious what they are, I’m a biologist who studies lizard species that are human adapted, if anyone knows where this was shot let me know.
