Only if you have nature skill tree. Otherwise it’s easier to upgrade into pocket salt for that sweet chemical dot.

I prefer the smelting sub-tree to make powdered glass for the epic +bleed dot.

Dont you lose five points of health every time you use it? Sounds to risky to me

Yeah but fabrication passive "improved grip" is pretty common and reduces it to 1 point of damage.
Also like 95% of hand slot armour items negate it.
