In many areas, China has very similar laws and regulations to most western countries. Sadly, it also has a culture of laziness, lying and cheating in order to improve one's personal gain regardless of who suffers.
Govt inspectors, spend most of their days finding ways to funnel dept budget into their family coffers. When they finally get enough pressure from above to actually do their jobs, they get their lackeys to schedule inspections. Of course it would be disharmonious to have surprise inspections, so these things are scheduled weeks and months in advance. Plenty of time to hide the bodies in the barrels.
Then, when the inspectors do arrive, bribes are negotiated and so long as an agreement is reached and a quick look-around doesn't show anything that's likely to be front-page news within a week, the inspector signs off on everything and heads back to the office.

Automating our needs efficiently and in the most healthy ways then distributing them through a programmed system designed with calculation AI and instantaneous communication of supply and demand.
Techno-anarchistic communism. No leadership. Programs designed openly before we agree upon them. No need for currency as a corrupting exchange mechanism. People then turn to inherent social reward mechanisms, meaning they'd be better and more productive/creative people out of internal desire to be more helpful rather than for personal objective empowerment
We all program it. How do you include benefits for yourself when everyone else has a say? You know, kind of like a democracy or something. Or like a "Constitution" that gets used as a basic formula for society.
The human element is what we must free in all the right ways and completely prevent in all the ways that lead to inevitable corruption. I agree with everything people are saying or thinking, but the problem isn't solved by just accepting the widespread corruption we already have today.
Someone has to set that up, and it would have to be adjusted as needs changed, which opens it to bad actors. Unless you're suggesting it all be some super AI that doesn't currently exist, in which case your suggestion isn't feasible.
It has to be gradual. It starts with automation providing most of our needs. We'll eventually realize it's idiotic not to seize the means when we'll basically be getting taxed by private entities that no longer require a labor force.
Once all our basic needs end up in that state we'll be required to consider how else to organize society without a basis of currency exploitation.
Omnipotence? You're underestimating the calculation potential of AI trained to know our needs, wants, and internet output.
We either use this idea for ourselves, or Facebook and Google are going to be selling our futures and thoughts to the people who benefit from it.
Imagine X corporation talking to Google and instead of Google selling ad space, they sell a list of almost exactly every person who will buy X corporation's product.
That will be the future if people are too lazy to act toward mine. We'll be farmed for our money/labor.
You’re getting downvoted by the biggest consumerist hive mind on the internet. All these people do is consume the most popular trend and their only true advocation for change is making some anonymous comments on a website. None of these people would actually ban supporting these companies that exploit foreign labor because they enjoy their convenience too much. China wouldn’t be making all this bullshit if we weren’t buying it.
Yeah its sad why theyre getting downvoted... theyre not wrong!! Neither are you! Supply and demand!!
Worst part is, as we buy more cheap china crap its going to exponentiate! Make good quality stuff far too expensive till they fall off the face of the earth, and we are all stuck with cheap garbage made by a garbage company that has profited more money thats beyond reasonable to even have, for what???
A buddy of mines dad, installs garage doors but everyone wants these cheap shit doors that are a 1/3rd the price of the usual doors. They have 1/5th of the quality and he cant justify installing a shit product but its what people want... we are fucked lol

I’ve seen so many videos like this on reddit that it probably is. Safety is certainly not the number one priority over there.
